(Senior) Controller - Operations (m/f/x)

Our controlling team is passionate about numbers and strives to connect the dots between operational KPIs and financial outcomes. We foster rebuy’s understanding of performance drivers and turn dry numbers into actionable insights. As part of the team, you will be acting as the leader of the operations controlling pillar, running financial budgeting & forecasting processes and being responsible for operational and strategic steering. In doing so, you will also further improve our operations data infrastructure with strong support from our BI analysts and you will be leading junior team members.

Key Responsibilities:

• During your first months you will get to know all parts of our business, and deep dive into the existing planning & reporting infrastructure for operations, in order to take on the recurring reporting tasks and identify steps for improvement

• You will be responsible for running all operations-related financial reporting forecasting and planning processes

• Further you will be involved in operational and strategic projects by owning the financial view and providing appropriate deep-dive data including investment-controlling

• By functionally leading two BI analysts you will develop and streamline our operations data and reporting landscape

• You will act as a business partner for operations management and understand the operational performance, and the effects of rebuy and can communicate them to the point

• You will be a team member of the overall controlling team of rebuy. And as a team, you support the management in steering the business in different locations and the HQ in achieving our short-term and strategic goals

• Finally, you will also be responsible for the further development of our operational controlling function

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Successfully completed university degree in business administration or similar

• You have already gained relevant professional experience, at least 5 years, in controlling and financial planning

• Excellence in analytical thinking together with the ability to grasp the ‘big picture’ and at the same time dive deep into details that drive it

• Great communicator and good stakeholder manager, able to partner with the business and drive the joint agenda

• Ideally you have prior experience within an e-commerce or C2B business, with a focus on operations processes

• You are fluent in English and an expert in Excel and/or GoogleSheets and have worked with data visualisation tools (ideally Looker)

Location:

• Field office Berlin; travel to our locations in Berlin and Poland once in a while

• Remote - can work remotely in Germany
