Nemours is seeking a Senior Data Governance Analyst to join our Nemours Children's Health team. This is a REMOTE position.

As a Senior Data Governance Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the integrity, quality, and security of our organization's data assets. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement data governance policies, standards, and procedures. You will also be responsible for analyzing data-related issues, identifying areas for improvement, and driving initiatives to enhance data governance practices across the organization.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define and document data governance policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Conduct data profiling and analysis to identify data quality issues, anomalies, and discrepancies.
  • Conduct data lineage analysis and metadata management to track and document data flows, transformation, and lineage.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on data governance principles, practices, and technologies, providing guidance and support to internal stakeholders.
  • Lead and facilitate data governance meetings, workshops, and training sessions to promote awareness and adoption of data governance principles and practices.
  • Establish data quality metrics, thresholds, and KPIs to monitor and measure data quality.
  • Work with data stewards and business owners to remediate data quality issues and ensure compliance with data governance policies.
  • Participate in data governance sub committees and working groups to review and approve data-related initiatives, projects, and changes.
  • Stay current on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to data governance, data management, and data quality.
  • Additional miscellaneous duties and responsibilities, as may be assigned from time to time by employee’s supervisor.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Management, or related field required.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in data analysis, data management, or data governance roles required.
  • Strong understanding of data governance principles, concepts, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in SQL, data profiling tools, and data quality management tools.
  • Experience with data modeling, data lineage, and metadata management.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
