Tasks
- Database Management: Design, implement, and manage robust database systems to ensure data accuracy, security, and availability in cloud-based, stand-alone installations and managed databases.
- Performance Optimization: Monitor database performance, ensuring seamless and efficient operations in a cloud environment.
- Backup and Recovery: Develop and execute reliable backup and recovery strategies to safeguard critical data in cloud-hosted and stand-alone databases.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve database issues promptly, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operations in cloud and stand-alone environments.
- Database Upgrades: Plan and execute database upgrades and migrations while minimizing downtime and ensuring data integrity in cloud and stand-alone installations.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of database configurations, processes, and procedures for cloud-based and stand-alone setups.
- Collaboration: Work with stakeholders to assess scope, develop business cases for data change, and deliver benefits by leveraging industry insights
Requirements
- Degree in IT
- Experience as a DBA - minimum 5 years of experience
- Experience with MySQL and PostgreSQL
- Experience in database upgrades
- Experience with troubleshooting
- Performance optimization
