Title: Senior Director
Location: Eastern United States
Travel Requirements: This is a remote position with 40-60% travel within the eastern states. Additional travel may be required, including visits to the Omaha, NE headquarters and other necessary locations as needed.

As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dynamic and results-driven professional to join our team as the Senior Director of Operations. The Senior Director of Operations (SD) is responsible for managing and overseeing day-to-day operations within their assigned territory, ensuring that AlffCo’s strategic objectives and business goals are met.
As the top execution-level leader, and reporting directly to the VP of Operations, you will drive innovation by developing and executing business plans that align with the company’s overall objectives and support operations identifying best practices for operational efficiency and spearheading initiatives for business improvement.
In this role you will lead and manage multiple projects to ensure the success and efficiency of operations within your assigned territory. You will work closely with peers in other territories. This position provides highly diverse and complex administrative work for the leadership team within the organization and is the critical link between strategy and operational execution. The Senior Director of Operations will work closely with peers in other territories, manage three to five Regional Operations Managers, to ensure consistency and collaboration across all regions. You will play the essential role in maintaining and elevating AlffCo’s standards of operational excellence and client satisfaction. SDs manage a diverse portfolio of business and teams, including Service Providers and Self-Performing teams.
This role will have a good understanding of operational business functions, proven experience in strategic planning and business development, strong decision making and problem-solving skills, excellent written, oral, and client-facing communication skills. This role will have experience in project management, excellent organization and leadership skills and knowledge of complex budgets. This role will also have knowledge of data analysis, performance metrics and knowledge of IT and business structure.
Essential Functions of the Role:
- Provide direct leadership and management to regional and field operations teams, ensuring that service delivery meets the company’s standards of excellence in managing a $20MM-$50MM business unit. ?
- Collaborate with the leadership team to create, administer, and implement operational business development strategies and tactics for the company
- Ensure operational processes are streamlined and efficient, promoting productivity and cost management while maintaining high service quality and speed of service delivery. ?
- Lead and mentor regional managers, operations teams, and frontline staff, fostering a culture of accountability, excellence, and continuous improvement. ?
- Ensure proper staffing and resource allocation to meet operational demands and execute regional projects effectively. ?
- Drive team performance through clear goal setting, regular feedback, and development opportunities to strengthen leadership at all levels. ?
- Serve as the primary executor of the company’s strategic initiatives within the assigned region, ensuring timely and effective implementation. ?
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (sales, HR, finance) to ensure smooth execution of projects and initiatives, from operational expansion to process improvements. ?
- Lead the rollout of new systems, tools, and technologies that improve operational efficiency and service delivery. ?
- Seek out, source, and identifying relevant resources for operations and business development
- Monitor market needs, trends, and Key Performance Indicators (KPI) to consult with executive leadership and other internal teams for solution development
- Drive accountability through data-driven decision-making, using analytics to track regional performance and identify areas for improvement. ?
- Establish best practices and continuous improvement processes across operations to ensure operational goals are consistently met or exceeded. ?
- Work closely with the VP of Operations and account management teams to maintain and grow client relationships, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and service excellence, review proposals, SOWs, and develop regional budgets. ?
- Serve as the operational point of contact for key clients in the region, addressing any operational issues or service concerns in a timely and professional manner. ?
- Collaborate with clients to understand their evolving needs and provide solutions that enhance service delivery and operational outcomes. ?
- Ensure that all operational practices comply with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards. ?
- Identify and mitigate potential operational risks to minimize downtime, client dissatisfaction, and safety incidents. ?
- Manage, maintain, and create new relationships with vendors and clients to ensure sustainable business relationships
- Communicate all client and employment issues, in detail, to the leadership team and present solutions?
- Deliver presentations for large scope projects, future growth, and quarterly meetings with clients within your respective region
- Create and submit detailed reports with monthly and quarterly revenue and expenses
- Conduct monthly training with other SD’s for Regional Operations Manager and their staff
- Responds to after-hours emergencies related to system failures or other serious issues for trouble shooting and resolution

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field. MBA or other advanced degree preferred. Equivalent work experience preferred.
- 10+ years in operational management, preferably in facility management or related industry preferred.
- Proven track record of successfully leading and managing large teams.
- Strong financial acumen and experience in budget management.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Ability to think strategically and execute operational plans effectively.
- Proficient in the use of technology and software relevant to facility management operations.
- Strong problem -solving and decision-making abilities.
- Self-motivated and results-driven with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
- Ability to travel nationally as required.
Computer Skills:
Quick learning ability for new database programs, proficient navigation of communication such as basic knowledge of Salesforce and proficient in Microsoft Office applications, Teams, and SharePoint.
