Senior FP&A Analyst Opportunity Summary We are seeking a Senior FP&A Analyst to join our growing finance team and take ownership of site-level financial reporting and analysis across EDC's operational data center portfolio. This role is ideal for a finance professional with a strong analytical foundation, deep experience in capital-intensive environments, and the ability to operate independently across a broad scope — from property-level P&L reporting and variance analysis to forecasting, budgeting, and cross-functional business partnering with site operations leadership. This is a high-visibility role with direct exposure to senior leadership and a meaningful opportunity to shape how FP&A supports EDC's growth as an organization. The right candidate brings intellectual curiosity about data center economics, a bias toward action, and the ability to translate complex financial data into clear, decision-ready insights. Key Responsibilities
Own site-level P&L reporting for EDC's operational data center portfolio, including monthly variance analysis, commentary, and distribution to site operations and senior leadership
Own the annual budget process for assigned site-level and corporate cost centers — including template creation, assumption development, budget owner coordination, submission consolidation, and presentation of results to senior leadership
Lead monthly financial close and reporting processes for assigned scope, including data pulls, actuals compilation, variance analysis, and presentation updates
Build and maintain driver-based forecasting models for site-level cost centers, incorporating operational inputs such as power consumption, capacity utilization, headcount, and contracted services
Own department-level inputs for quarterly reforecasts and annual budget cycles, coordinating directly with site operations and corporate budget owners
Apply corporate cost allocation methodology to site-level P&Ls, ensuring accurate reflection of shared costs and understanding of the logic underlying each allocation
Serve as the embedded FP&A partner to site operations leadership — proactively surfacing financial insights, flagging risks, and advising on budget management throughout the year
Support ad-hoc financial analysis and business case development as assigned, including cost-benefit analysis for capital investments, contractor-to-FTE conversion analysis, and scenario modeling
Identify and flag data quality issues in source systems and reporting outputs, documenting discrepancies with clear recommendations and following through on resolution with Accounting
Contribute to the development and documentation of FP&A processes, templates, and standards as the function continues to scale Specific Skills/Abilities
Advanced Excel proficiency including financial modeling, lookup functions (XLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH), pivot tables, and multi-source data consolidation; Power Query experience a plus
Strong understanding of GAAP accounting principles — including accruals, prepaids, depreciation, capitalization policy, and CapEx vs. OpEx classification — with demonstrated ability to apply these concepts in an FP&A context
Ability to build and maintain driver-based financial models that connect operational assumptions to financial outcomes
Strong analytical and communication skills — able to synthesize complex financial data into clear, concise variance commentary and executive-ready reporting
Ability to manage multiple workstreams independently, prioritize effectively under tight close deadlines, and escalate issues with clear documentation
Intellectually curious about business operations — able to engage meaningfully with non-finance stakeholders and translate operational realities into financial assumptions Skills and Requirements
Direct experience in capital-intensive industries — data centers, real estate, energy, infrastructure, or project-based environments — strongly preferred; data center finance experience is a meaningful differentiator
Demonstrated ownership of a full reporting cycle: close, variance analysis, commentary, and distribution
Experience building or maintaining site-level, property-level, or project-level P&L models preferred
Prior experience owning a budget or forecasting process for one or more cost centers, not just supporting it
Proficiency with ERP or financial reporting systems; NetSuite experience a plus Education/Experience
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Real Estate Finance, or related field
4–6 years of FP&A, financial analysis, or relevant accounting experience
Experience at a PE-backed or high-growth company a plus
