Responsibilities:
- Component Library Development: Transform our design language into a robust component library, utilizing modern frameworks and libraries.
- Design System Advocacy: Promote and facilitate the adoption of the design system across the organization, ensuring consistency and scalability.
- Prototyping: Convert low-fidelity designs into high-fidelity prototypes using the component library, enabling quick iterations and feedback.
- Collaboration Enhancement: Foster improved communication and collaboration between engineering and design teams, bridging gaps and aligning goals.
- Style Guide Creation & Documentation: Develop and maintain the style guide website for the design system, providing a comprehensive resource for designers and developers.
- Experience writing clear and robust documentation for development teams to consume shared UI. (e.g., Storybook)
Requirements
- Proven experience as a front-end engineer with a strong design orientation.
- Proficiency in modern front-end frameworks and libraries (e.g., React, Angular, Vue).
- Experience with design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch) and the ability to translate designs into code.
- Strong understanding of design principles, user experience, and accessibility standards.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a track record of working effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Bachelors in computer science or related field.
- Familiarity with design systems and their implementation in large-scale organizations.
- Experience in building and maintaining component libraries and style guides.
- Knowledge of prototyping tools and techniques.
