We are looking for a passionate and driven Senior Growth Manager to join the US Marketing team initially in a short -term capacity to cover a parental leave for a period of approximately 9 months. As the US Marketing team continues to grow, there may be potential for a longer-term opportunity within the team.

This position will be responsible for various initiatives across both new and existing customers that enable us to:

  1. Help analyze and govern marketing spending and customer behavior across our brand portfolio.
  2. Expand our reach and efficiently acquire new customers through various channel opportunities and third party vendors.
  3. Support digital and physical product marketing efforts that impact existing customers as well as new.

Our office is located in New York City, however we are fully open to remote candidates located in EST or CST time zones. This role will report directly to our US Head of Marketing, working across our family of brands. Who you will work with:

While this is a US-based role, you will interact with the global Marley Spoon marketing team, especially the centralized function based in Berlin, Germany and Lisbon, Portugal.

What you’ll do:

  • Understand and actively build out growth strategy and execution to support scalable new customer acquisition growth and/or retain customers. Examples include, but are not limited to:
    • Work independently to identify and evaluate new revenue opportunities that drive incremental growth - either through new customers or existing customers
    • Draft budgets for key offline and partnership channels based on ROI efficiency, and align on proposed budgets with central planning team
    • Manage media buying activities while ensuring optimal placement and performance within offline and partnership channels, as well as ensure alignment with overall media strategy
    • Deliver against our acquisition, retention and basket targets for the channels that you are responsible for, whilst keeping a sharp eye on quality and ROI
    • Collaborate with Acquisition and CRM channel managers to ensure adherence to brand positioning and local Brand strategy, by providing guidance on overall campaign strategy and effective communication themes.
  • Work autonomously to improve processes and/or execute on growth strategies
  • Test, learn, iterate and scale by driving continuous improvement in efficiency and ROI
    • Measure, report and optimize performance across all offline and partnership channels
    • Build structured reports that reflect KPIs for each channel
    • Manage the allotted growth budget to maximize incremental growth.
    • Work with stakeholders to ensure tagging and tracking implementation.
  • Bring together your experience in performance marketing and creative strategy

to deliver tangible growth for the business through acquisition channels and/or product marketing initiatives

Requirements specific to this role:

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in a growth role. Ideally executing one or more key marketing channels - Brand, Acquisitions and / or Partnerships marketing, preferably in the e‐commerce space and/or at a media agency
  • Fundamental knowledge of various marketing channels
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SQL and G Suite
  • Experience using Google Analytics, Looker and other data analytics tools
  • Developed analytical, problem‐solving capability, and consider yourself a Performance Marketer - measuring ROI
  • Experience leveraging data and consumer insights to better inform decision making
  • Exemplary project management skills and have experience working cross-functionally

Must Haves:

  • Aptitude for marketing channel governance, monitoring channel specific KPIs
  • Some level of media buying exposure, and prior work with media agencies
  • Eye for detail on budget adjustments and ensuring reporting alignment with central team, staying on top of invoicing approvals and payments with marketing leads and accounting
  • Effectively managing cross collaboration with central planning, finance, accounting, other Acquisition / CRM marketing channel owners and operations

Nice to Haves:

  • Motivated to vet / trial new partners via outreach across offline platforms such as CTV, Podcasts, OOH, Print Marketing, as well as leveraging existing vendor partnerships
  • Help identify high value Brand Partnerships that align with our brand positioning and provide high visibility to our prospecting and existing customers
  • Ability to effectively measure impact of upper funnel activity and its impact on overall marketing mix, in order to effectively scale brand awareness channels

Salary Range is $90,000 - $125,000 USD
