THE ROLE
We are looking for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join our engineering team. Reporting into the Head of Operations this role is pivotal in maintaining the stability, reliability, and efficiency of our systems. You will be working with a stack that includes AWS, Fastly, Terraform, Ansible, MongoDB, NodeJS, and Datadog. Experience with data engineering platforms like Databricks and ETL processes is highly advantageous.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Develop, maintain, and optimize our cloud infrastructure on AWS to ensure high availability, performance, and scalability.
- Implement and manage continuous delivery systems and methodologies.
- Use Terraform and Ansible for infrastructure as code and configuration management.
- Monitor system performance using Datadog, and proactively address system issues.
- Collaborate with the development team to streamline code deployment and other operational processes.
- Maintain and improve our database systems, primarily MongoDB.
- Work with data engineering tools such as Databricks for ETL processes, optimizing data flow and collection for cross-functional teams.
- Ensure security best practices throughout our infrastructure.
- Participate in on-call rotations, providing high-quality support with a focus on reliability and uptime.
Requirements
- Experience with cloud services and infrastructure, experience with AWS is a plus.
- Familiar in using IaC for automation and configuration, experience with Ansible and Terraform is a plus.
- Familiar with CDN technologies, preferably Fastly.
- Familiar in MongoDB administration and optimization.
- Strong with monitoring tools, preferably Datadog.
- Knowledgeable in data engineering and ETL processes, experience with Databricks is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
