The Senior Information Technology Specialist Role

As the first of its kind, the IT Specialist role is essential to our internal operational workflow. This role will ensure operational excellence and security of our technology infrastructure, including hardware, software, network management, and vendor relations. The successful candidate will demonstrate a proven track record of managing complex IT environments, adhering to high-security standards, and facilitating smooth and efficient technology operations. As the single point of contact for this integral function, you will own and execute many IT initiatives that align with our overall business objectives. We’re looking for someone who can solve problems quickly in an ambiguous environment, ask the right questions, triage any issues, and build trusted relationships with internal teammates and external stakeholders.

About You

  • Demonstrated experience in the following areas:
    • Administration of all Office 365 Suite applications.
    • Procure and provision all hardware assets for both Windows and MacOS systems.
    • Own Identity Management and SSO solutions.
    • Deploy device management in a multi-platform computing environment.
    • Enforce compliance and security policies.
    • Provide remote and on-site support.
  • Familiarity with managing a secure office network to minimize the risk to employees, the business resilience, and the data confidentiality our customers expect.
    • Strong preference for exposure to the FBI CJIS Security Policy requirements and models.
  • Strong process orientation & project management experience, including a demonstrated ability to both work well with others and hold others accountable in the absence of formal authority
  • Comfort and ability to thrive in a rapidly growing, fast-paced, and often ambiguous environment where you have multiple responsibilities across a variety of domains and operate with a significant degree of autonomy

What We Look For

  • A bachelor’s degree or associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is required.
  • At least 7-10 years of comprehensive experience in an IT specialist role, with demonstrated growth in responsibilities and technical capabilities.
  • Experience working in early-stage startups is a plus.
  • Certifications relevant to the technologies and responsibilities outlined (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), CompTIA Security+) are highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to independently troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with cross-functional teams, setting and achieving expectations on solution delivery.
  • Located in the United States; preferably in San Francisco Bay Area.

Salary Range: $135,000 to $165,000 Annually + Benefits + Equity (if applicable) + Bonus (if applicable)
