What you'll be doing:
Lead data science projects from inception to completion
Work with our product and customer success teams to identify problem areas for our customers and hack around with the latest open-source models to find solutions to these problems.
Develop and maintain scalable microservices to run any models developed.
Identify weaknesses or potential areas for improvement in our current model setup and implement research/implement any improvements
Develop and maintain processes to monitor model performance
Interpret and communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Utilise data to tell a story and educate customers
Mentor and coach team members on the latest technologies and industry trends, to ensure optimal delivery outputs and user experience.
You would be a great fit for this role if you have:
Proven experience (5+ years) in Data Science & ML Engineering
A strong background (2+ years) in the area of Natural Language Processing
A passion for building best-in-class products which drives data-driven decision-making.
Experience building microservices in using frameworks such as Flask, FastAPI, Django, etc.
Some prior experience deploying large language model solutions in production
Worked with cloud computing platforms such as AWS or Azure
A background in research
Comfortable working with and querying large databases
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience in effectively conveying technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
A detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and problem-solving.
It would be useful, but not essential if you also have:
Experience working with vector databases
Prior experience in the customer service industry
Experience in agile software development methodologies
Mentorship or people management experience, or an interest in this area
