About the Role

We're looking for a Senior Manager, Accounting and Financial Reporting, to join the Tecsys Finance team. Reporting to the Corporate Controller, you’ll manage our consolidation process, financial reporting, ICFR framework, and commissions accounting. You will also have the opportunity to manage a team of talented finance professionals. This role is perfect for you if you excel at process improvement, have a keen eye for detail, and enjoy working collaboratively with a team.

Please note that while Tecsys is a digital-first company, we are specifically looking to hire this team member in the Montreal/Greater Montreal area to facilitate purposeful team gatherings as required. Applicants outside of this area will not be considered at this time.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Managing and overseeing the month-end close and consolidation processes, including balance sheets, accrual liabilities and commissions.
  • Managing commissions process and collaborate with operations and sales teams.
  • Preparing quarterly consolidated financial statements and review internal presentations.
  • Overseeing a team of 4 individuals (Payroll and Financial reporting).
  • Establishing and maintain accounting policies and procedures.
  • Assisting with year-end planning and liaise with external auditors.
  • Implementing and administering internal control policies and compliance.
  • Proposing and implementing process improvements.
  • Supporting various business analyses and projects focused on strategy and growth.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years in accounting (IFRS), audit, and/or financial reporting, preferably in a publicly traded software company.
  • Bachelor of Commerce and CPA designation.
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, systems, analytical functions, internal controls, and financial reporting.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel, ERP and other finance related tools.
  • Strong interpersonal and written/oral communication skills.
  • Experience interfacing with senior leadership team
  • Strong proficiency in both written and verbal English communication essential for effective correspondence with clients, suppliers, business partners, and colleagues beyond the province of Quebec.
