We’re seeking a Senior Manager of Portfolio Delivery.

Purpose and Scope:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Manager of Portfolio Delivery to implement critical operational process infrastructure, enabling a large multi-team program to smoothly coordinate and deliver timely, high-quality work. The Senior Manager of Portfolio Delivery will also manage program Delivery Managers, and coach contract Delivery Managers, mentoring them to ever higher performance. The ideal candidate will be adept at building strong relationships, leading through influence, delivering thoughtful and direct feedback, client-facing consulting, and driving continuous improvement to ensure the successful and predictable delivery of high-quality work to our clients.

Responsibilities:

  • People management: Directly manages eSimplicity Delivery Managers, providing feedback and helping them build their skills and grow their careers. Accountable for the on-time and high-quality delivery of development work completed by their teams.
  • Operational process leadership: Oversees and sets standards around cross-team coordination and processes, ensuring that teams have the systems in place to deliver high quality work predictably and efficiently.
  • Targeted coaching and development: Provides targeted leadership and mentorship to contract Delivery Managers who need support in building strong, healthy and high performing teams that deliver excellent work on time and with minimal friction.
  • Partnership and collaboration: Build and maintain strong relationships with program leads and practice leaders, partnering with them to identify areas for improvement and implement actionable strategies.
  • Track and leverage metrics: Use data to provide insights, identify areas for improvement, and drive continuous process enhancements.
  • Improvement strategies: Build and provide plans and training to address agile growth areas including milestones for key improvement areas.
  • Agile mindset and culture: Foster a culture of collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement across teams and departments, encouraging a positive Agile mindset and culture.
  • Coaching engagements: When appropriate, design, implement, and lead agile coaching engagements for mid to executive level professionals, and emerging leaders.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10+ years of Agile experience as a senior delivery manager or senior project manager leading large multi-team projects
  • Including 5+ years' experience as a people manager
  • Deep knowledge of agile methodologies and implementation of SAFe, Scrum, and Kanban.
  • Demonstrated grasp of how to scale Lean and Agile practices, including the challenges associated with facilitating and continuously aligning a large development program.
  • Demonstrated leadership and analytical skills
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust, residing in the United States

eSimplicity environment:

eSimplicity supports a remote work environment operating within the Eastern time zone so we can work with and respond to our government clients. Expected hours are 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern unless otherwise directed by your manager.

Occasional travel for training and project meetings. It is estimated to be less than 25% per year.

Salary Description$153,500-$173,600
