We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Meditech Report Writer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Meditech report writing and healthcare data analysis, with a keen ability to develop and maintain front-end reporting solutions. This role is crucial in delivering accurate and actionable insights to optimize our client's healthcare operations. The Senior Meditech Report Writer will work closely with healthcare stakeholders to translate their needs into effective reporting solutions, ensuring data integrity and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Report Development and Optimization: Develop, maintain, and optimize reports within the Meditech system to support clinical and operational decision-making processes. Design and implement custom reports based on user requirements, ensuring they meet the specific needs of various healthcare departments.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work collaboratively with healthcare stakeholders, including clinicians, administrators, and IT professionals, to understand their reporting needs and translate these into technical specifications. Provide regular updates and feedback to stakeholders regarding report development and enhancements.
  • Data Integration and ETL Processes: Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) to integrate data from diverse sources into the Meditech system. Ensure seamless integration and accurate data flow between Meditech and other systems or data sources.
  • Data Accuracy and Validation: Conduct thorough testing and validation of reports to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity. Implement quality control processes to regularly review and verify the correctness of generated reports.
  • Technical Support and Training: Provide technical support and training to end-users on Meditech reporting tools and functionalities, empowering them to utilize reporting features effectively. Create and maintain user documentation and training materials for Meditech reporting solutions.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on Meditech software updates, enhancements, and best practices to continuously improve reporting capabilities. Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance reporting efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Project Participation and Management: Participate in project planning and management activities, ensuring the timely delivery of reporting solutions and meeting project deadlines. Collaborate with project teams to align reporting initiatives with overall project goals and objectives.
Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Healthcare Informatics, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in Meditech report writing and healthcare data analysis. Proven proficiency in Meditech Magic, Client/Server, and 6.x reporting tools.
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of SQL and experience with database management systems. Solid understanding of healthcare operations, clinical workflows, and regulatory requirements (e.g., HIPAA). Experience with ETL processes and data warehousing is a plus. Meditech certification is highly desirable.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail. Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with other EMR/EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner) is an advantage.
  • Experience with business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Understanding of data governance and data quality best practices.
  • Project management experience, particularly with a focus on healthcare IT projects.
