Our Platform Infrastructure team is integral to our success — ensuring that our systems are secure, reliable, and primed for growth. We are seeking an experienced Senior Platform Engineer with deep knowledge of cloud technologies and a desire to build a robust, scalable, and efficient cloud infrastructure ecosystem.
As a Senior Platform Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining infrastructure that underpins our application architecture. In addition to supporting our operations needs, you’ll help transition our monolithic application to a modern, scalable architecture by building infrastructure optimized for reliability, security, and cost-efficiency.
What You’ll Do
- Design, implement, and maintain cloud architecture solutions that support our shift to a service-oriented architecture.
- Create infrastructure-as-code solutions with Terraform, enabling infrastructure consistency, scalability, and manageability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Security, Developer Experience, Data Engineering, and application feature teams, to build and scale cloud-native solutions that support the growth of our products and services.
- Enable observability for cloud infrastructure, implementing monitoring, alerting, and logging to ensure uptime and reliability.
- Contribute to cost-management strategies by optimizing resource use and leveraging AWS pricing models.
- Drive improvements in security posture by implementing and managing configurations, secrets, and access controls for cloud resources.
- Automate deployment and configuration processes, streamlining infrastructure management while ensuring compliance and scalability.
- Provide mentorship to other Platform Infra engineers, encouraging best practices in infrastructure design, security, and automation.
Who You Are
- You have 5-7 years of experience in cloud infrastructure engineering, with extensive understanding and application of solutions that align with the AWS Well-Architected Framework – especially those that include ECS, EC2, Route53, RDS, Arora, SQS, Lambda, S3, Secrets Manager
- You have experience with containerization and orchestration, especially within AWS ECS.
- You are proficient in Terraform and have implemented complex infrastructure-as-code for multi-account ecosystems hosting environments from Development to Production. This includes creation of custom modules for infrastructure management and community consumption.
- You have experience with automation and configuration management tools, such as GitHub Actions, Ansible, and Celery.
- You're skilled in observability, with hands-on experience in configuring, monitoring and tuning alerting using tools like Datadog and PagerDuty to provide actionable insights and maintain high availability.
- You have deep experience with Linux system administration, including managing configurations, monitoring, and security for production systems.
- You’re knowledgeable in cloud-native service-oriented architecture design and best practices, with experience enabling application migration from monolithic architectures.
- You’re pragmatic and able to balance theory with practical solutions, prioritizing security, performance, and cost-efficiency.
- You have knowledge of AWS pricing and budgeting tools, and experience enabling cost management solutions within cloud environments.
- You have strong communication skills and are comfortable collaborating across domain boundaries to drive infrastructure projects that meet both technical and business needs.
- You have a passion for mentorship and sharing knowledge and best practices with others in a collaborative and supportive manner.

Salary Band: $200,000 - $220,00
