Senior Process Engineer

About the Role:

As a Process Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in re-engineering processes, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and implementing innovative solutions to enhance operational efficiency. You will leverage your expertise in process analysis, design thinking, and data-driven methodologies to optimize workflows and deliver tangible results. Candidate must be based in either Cape Town or Gauteng.

Requirements

Qualifications and Experience:

• 5+ years of experience as a Process Engineer within the financial services or banking industry (Investment banking experience is a plus).

• Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering or BSc

• Strong understanding of risk management and complex financial processes.

• Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification or training is highly preferred.

• Proven experience in process re-engineering and continuous improvement.

• Experience with RPA Engineering.

• Proficiency in process modeling tools.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze, design, and optimize business processes within the financial services/banking sector, with a focus on risk management and complex environments.

• Lead process re-engineering initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing effective solutions.

• Apply Lean Six Sigma principles to drive continuous improvement and achieve operational excellence (Black Belt certification or training preferred).

• Utilize process modeling tools (experience with Vision, ARIS, or similar platforms is advantageous).

• Implement and optimize Robotic Process Automation (RPA) solutions.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, analyze data, and implement process improvements.

• Develop and maintain process documentation and performance metrics.

• Apply design thinking methodologies to create user-centric solutions.
