Job Description

Dandy is transforming the massive ($200B) but antiquated dental industry. Backed by some of the world's leading venture capital investors, we are on an ambitious mission to integrate and simplify every function of the dental practice through technology. By building the operating system for every dental office in America, Dandy is empowering dentists with technology, innovation, and world-class support to achieve more for their practice, their people, and their patients.

About the Role

Dandy is hiring a Product Manager to join our rapidly scaling technology organization. Product Managers at Dandy drive the ideation, delivery and rollout of industry-defining products and experiences for our customers (Dentists). In this role, you’ll work collaboratively with our world class engineering and business teams (staffed with alums of Facebook, Google, Apple, Airbnb, Uber, WeWork, Palantir, and more) to drive step changes in both growth and experience.

You will own the vision, strategy and execution of some of Dandy’s most important systems - packaging, pricing, billing, and payments. You’ll sweat the details, work side by side alongside business partners, engineering, and design, and lead with a high say:do ratio.

This is a highly strategic role with the opportunity to make a big impact on how Dandy acquires and retains customers through pricing and monetization.

What You'll Do

Product development at Dandy is an extremely collaborative effort, with multiple teams composed of UX, Engineering, and Product Management empowered to solve the most important problems for the business at large. As a Product Manager you will:

  • Define the strategy and vision for our packaging, pricing, billing and payments products

  • Bring deep customer empathy and serve as the champion and voice of our customers

  • Build deep and detail-oriented expertise on how Dandy prices and goes to market with each product offering

  • Build strong partnerships with cross-functional partners (Marketing, CX, Finance and Operations teams) to identify and align on the prioritization of opportunities.

  • Integrate qualitative and quantitative research, data and market insights into strategies, roadmaps and product requirements

  • Clearly communicate how we’re measuring success to key members of the org (PMs, developers, designers and leadership) to ensure the team is aligned on context and vision

  • Be a thought partner with key stakeholders outside of the tech org to align goals, resources, and make trade-offs to land on the right strategic prioritization for the business at large

  • Help define overall product strategy and the customer experience for Dandy

What We're Looking For

We’re looking for creative and curious product thinkers who can develop and grow a compelling vision for Dandy's products. We seek an experienced product manager accustomed to working in a hyper-growth, customer obsessed organization.

  • 6+ years of experience in product management, managing software products through the full lifecycle from MVP to general release and subsequent iterations

  • Entrepreneurial spirit: Self-starter who thrives in a fast paced environment, deals well with ambiguity and focuses on driving impact

  • Experience leading products that require coordination across many stakeholders and cross functional teams. Able to handle ambiguity to solve large open-ended problems

  • Customer focused mindset and empathy for the end user. Experience partnering with Design teams to craft intuitive workflows that improve our user experience and make it a delightful experience

  • An effective communicator and influencer. Ability to write strong product requirements, and drive consensus across functions and teams

Bonus Points For

  • Experience at an operationally-intensive company

  • Design experience

  • A/B testing development & experience

  • Comfortable compiling test data into presentable and digestible formats

  • Knowledge of SQL

  • Time spent at a venture-backed startup during hypergrowth

  • Technical competence and comfort-level – you can discuss APIs and services with the engineering team (you don’t need to be able to code)

The reasonably estimated salary for this role at Dandy is $180-$207,500/yr plus equity. Actual compensation is based on a number of factors including, but not limited to the primary work location, candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.

We offer a wide range of best in class, comprehensive and inclusive employee benefits including healthcare, dental, parental planning, mental health benefits, a 401(k) plan, and paid time off.

Dandy is proud to be an equal-opportunity employer. We are committed to building a diverse and inclusive culture that celebrates authenticity to win as one. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, marital status, disability, protected veteran status, citizenship or immigration status, or any other legally protected characteristics.

Dandy also fully complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). We are dedicated to embracing challenges and creating an accessible, inclusive workplace for all individuals. If you require any accommodations for your interview or have any questions beforehand, rest assured that we will move at Dandy speed and do everything in our power to meet your needs.
