About the role:

We're looking for a senior product manager to help transform the way electronics engineers research and discover components and solutions. Millions of users visit our website each month to review technical details, compliance, lifecycle, pricing and availability data across 90+ million electronic components. We've learned a lot from our engineering community over the years and are now poised to turn this insight into action. Doing so requires a product manager to lead a software team of exceptional, curious, and empathetic people.

As the subject matter expert, you will define how electronics engineers research and build new products. You will provide clarity around your team's mission enabling the team to succeed together.

This role is based in our Cambridge Science Park offices in the United Kingdom with flexibility to either work onsite or remotely with regular office visits.

A day in the life of our Product Manager:

  • Participate in a cross-functional team, including UX, data analysts, backend and frontend software engineers. You will report to the Head of Product for Octopart.
  • Partner with your team’s engineering manager and UX designer to define, plan and prioritise the product backlog.
  • Propose your team's major initiatives to the Head of Product and executive team. You are not waiting for instructions. You will guide your team by aligning with stakeholders.
  • Interview users to develop and fine-tune personas, journey maps, requirements and acceptance criteria. These will be your guiding artifacts to help your team innovate.
  • Work with the analytics team to A/B test and assess onsite activity. You will help join qualitative and quantitative analysis together to bring truths and clarity to the team.
  • Research and analyze technology trends in the electronics industry.
  • Collaborate with other product managers on ways of working to ensure dependencies are understood.
  • Present the product roadmap and updates to the engineering, design, marketing, sales and executive teams.
  • Define what is required to achieve user and traffic growth.
  • Work closely with Digital Marketing to plan go-to-market activities.
