The Senior Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating efforts related to large-scale, multi-year implementation programs. This individual is responsible for ensuring the mutual attainment of stated goals. The Senior PM will manage various aspects of the program, including program governance, implementation oversight, risk management, and communication.

Requirements

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the deployment of programs that support both Caresyntax and our customers’ main objectives. Some of their primary duties include:

  • Spearhead complex SaaS implementation projects for healthcare organizations and partners, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Leverage PMI PMBOK knowledge areas and methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid) to optimize project delivery and outcomes.
  • Lead cross-functional teams, fostering a matrix management environment to drive successful implementations.
  • Facilitate stakeholder engagement and expectation management throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project artifacts, including WBS, project charters, Gantt charts, and resource allocation plans.
  • Articulate technical requirements and project status to diverse audiences, tailoring communication to stakeholder needs.
  • Implement robust risk management strategies, including qualitative and quantitative risk analysis and contingency planning.
  • Design and execute stakeholder communication plans, ensuring transparency and buy-in at all organizational levels.
  • Conduct stage-gate and retrospectives to maintain project momentum and quality.
  • Apply critical path analysis and resource leveling techniques to optimize project schedules and resource allocation.
  • Manage scope through effective change control processes, balancing project constraints (scope, time, cost, quality).
  • Oversee the development of project deliverables, ensuring adherence to quality management plans and acceptance criteria.
  • Lead project health checks and governance reviews, providing data-driven insights to key decision-makers.
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives, incorporating lessons learned and industry best practices into PMO standards.
  • Drive organizational project management maturity, implementing scalable processes and mentoring junior project managers.
  • Manage vendor relationships and contracts, ensuring alignment with procurement management plans and organizational policies.
  • Implement benefits realization management processes to ensure projects deliver expected business value.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and agility, adapting project management approaches to evolving business needs.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business, or a related field- Required
  • Minimum of 7 years of IT project management experience- Required
  • At least 5 years of experience managing application and system implementation projects is preferred.
  • PMP or PgMP certification is preferred.
  • Previous experience working within a healthcare environment is a plus
  • Excellent client-facing and analytical skills to ensure successful implementations.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with key stakeholders at all organizational levels, demonstrating excellent communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and experience in change management.
  • Creative and innovative mindset with the ability to think outside the box.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Experience with MS Project, CRM, ERP, IT ticketing systems, and analytical dashboard tools is preferred.
  • Passionate about connecting clients with internal teams.
  • Deep passion for project management and process improvement.
  • Experience in a growth-stage SaaS company is preferred

Physical Demands/Working Environment:

  • Required to sit, stand, walk; talk and hear; and ability to touch and handle tools and/or controls, including a computer and phone.
  • Ability to lift up to 10 pounds occasionally.
  • The noise level is typically moderate.
  • Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Salary Description$120,000- $150,000
