Metrea Advanced Signals (MAS) specializes in signal classification, direction finding, advanced geolocation techniques, and waveform development including waveforms for MANET and LPI/LPD applications. MAS also develops special purpose radios for government customers and licenses DF and geolocation solutions to multiple OEMs.
Position Summary
Metrea Advanced Signals is seeking a Radar Engineer to join our fast-paced team, specializing in
cutting-edge military communications and signals intelligence products. Here, you'll thrive in a small, agile environment, working independently on a diverse range of innovative systems. Role and Responsibilities
- Design and implement radar hardware and software solutions from the requirements phase to product delivery.
- Collaborate with or assist the management team in the generation of proposals, schedules, and budgets related to radar technology research, development, and production.
- Partner with RF engineers to design radar solutions aligned with Metrea's innovation strategy.
- Collaborate with software teams during the product design, integration, new product introduction, and production phases.
- Experience programming in C, C++, Python.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing on quick turn demo and prototype systems, and provide technical support for existing products.
- Collaborate with Test Engineering to incorporate design for testability, develop test plans and test fixtures.
- Familiarity with signal processing concepts such as filtering, mixing, sampling, and FFTs.
- Collaborate with outside vendors to develop custom components or assemblies.
Skills and Experience
- PhD/ Masters degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering preferred.
- 1O+ years of experience in Radar or associated electrical engineering activities
- Demonstrated radar algorithm design experience
- Experience developing ELINT systems Processor Based system design (Microcontroller, Microprocessor, DSP)
- Processor Based system design (Microcontroller, Microprocessor, DSP)
- Documentation including specifications, proposals, schematics, and engineering change notices
- Desired experience but not required (one or more)
- Machine learning
- Sampling and control systems
- FPGA development
- Electronic Warfare Techniques
- Git, Gitlab, JIRA, Notion, Confluence, AWS, Docker
- Familiarity with RF communications / Radar systems

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position with typical working hours of Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Hours and work shifts may change in accordance with department and business needs. Exempt Employees must have the ability to be on-call and available, as business needs require. Non-Exempt employees may be required to work over 40 hours per week with approval from the department manager.
Travel
Occasional travel may be required at the discretion of the department manager.
