    Employment Type: Permanent Full Time (x1) and Permanent Part Time – 68 hours (x1)

    Location: Completely flexible, as this is a work from home opportunity!

    Pay Rate: From $44.58 per hour + penalties (SCHADS level 4)

    As a Senior Rostering Officer within the National After-Hours Service (NAHS), you will work as part of our National After-Hours Service (NAHS) to coordinate and optimise the engagement of available employees to best meet client requirements and promote a sustainable workforce for our Child, Youth & Family Services across Australia outside of standard business hours.

    You will also provide real time guidance and mentorship of Roster Officers which may also include onboarding, training and professional development.

    The rosters for each position are listed below. Please note, alterations to the allocation of day of work/shifts are unable to be accommodated. 

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop and maintain staffing rosters in accordance with client needs, funding allocations, budget and award requirements.

    • Fill shifts impacted by unplanned leave or changes in client support needs

    • Communicate and coordinate with stakeholders effectively, particularly in response to schedule/roster changes, roster concerns and complaints

    • Work with stakeholders to understand Service Agreements and client needs

    • Complete administrative tasks in a timely manner, including call logs and employee schedule changes within relevant systems

    • Manage complex rostering matters, escalating to the Operations Manager or National Manager on shift where needed.

    • Support and mentor Roster Officers - including guidance on shift, onboarding, training and professional development support.

    Skills & Experience

    • Experience in a high-volume rostering or scheduling role, ideally utilising the SCHADS award

    • Previous experience in the utilisation of rostering software systems (Microsoft Teams Shifts experience if preferred)

    • Demonstrated experience providing coaching and mentoring to team members

    • An understanding of service delivery within residential Child, Youth & Family services

    • Demonstrate experience managing competing priorities to deliver outcomes within required timeframes

    • Confidence to respectfully navigate complex or difficult situations/conversations with stakeholders

    • Ability to build and maintain positive and professional relationships with stakeholders

    Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and any relevant stated based checks.
