We are excited to add a Senior Security Architect to our Security Architecture team in the Mid-Atlantic region. The ideal candidate will have an operational background in the areas listed below with strong security consulting and presales experience.
Note: This is a remote position but applicants MUST live in Pennsylvania or Northern Virginia to be considered. Up to 25% travel to events and meetings required.
Role and Responsibilities include:
- Presales Security Architecture consulting with a strong background in complex network security environments
- Perform assessments of client environments and develop detailed documentation including deliverable reports and summary presentations based on industry and vendor best practices
- Collaborate with the Sales and Engineering teams to ensure the success of projects
- Analyze and recommend advanced network security configuration solutions
- Provide security engineering consulting services, including assessment, design and implementation of data and secure networking environments
- Assist clients through planning, design, and implementation of security solutions
- Collaborate with Engineering teams to develop and sell new service offerings
- Work with Vendors/Partners in order to develop an understanding of their cyber security platforms/solutions
Technical Requirements:
Expert-level knowledge and experience with network security architecture and support with at least four (4) or more of the following in order of priority:
- Next-Gen Firewalls/VPNs (Palo Alto is a must. Cisco ASA/Firepower and Fortinet a plus)
- IDS/IPS solutions (Palo Alto is a must. Cisco ASA/Firepower, Fortinet, FireEye a plus)
- Solid understanding of routing and switching architectures (CCNA level knowledge a must, CCNP+ preferred)
- Cloud Edge Security including Transit Architectures (Palo VM in AWS, Azure, GCP a huge plus)
- Cloud Visibility and Core Security Solutions (Palo Prisma Cloud, FireMon, a plus)
- Container and Serverless Security Solutions (Aqua, Pursec, Lacework a plus)
- Endpoint Security: Next Gen AV (Palo Traps, Crowdstrike, Sentinel One, a plus)
- On premises Virtual Infrastructures (VMware ESXi/NSX, Microsoft HyperV, KVM a plus)
-Network Access Control and Authentication systems – (Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE), Aruba ClearPass, ForeScout a plus)
Experience, Education, Certifications we are looking for:
- 3-5 years working in a presales architecture capacity at a VAR or security solutions provider.
- 8+ years of secure networking experience, including configuring, analyzing troubleshooting complex security environments
- Palo Alto PCNSE 10+ Strongly Desired. ACE/PCNSE 6/7 Considered
- Industry security certification such as CISSP CEH – Desired
- CCNP Preferred. CCNP/CCIE Security and/or RS a plus
