Senior Software Engineer, GT Regression

Mission Summary

We are seeking a Senior Engineer to join our Ground Truth regression model evaluation team. The AV system and subsystem metrics are used to guide training and evaluation of our neural networks, our dashboards are used to guide strategic decisions across all levels including senior leadership, and our infrastructure provides always-available critical tools to research scientists and developers.

What you'll be doing:

• Analyze and decompose complex software systems and collaborate with cross-functional teams to influence design for scalability and testability
• Design and implement Restful APIs for annotation data pipeline
• Solve challenging problems with cutting edge design and algorithms
• Develop metrics and data pipelines supporting those metrics, in Python
• Build large scale Machine Learning infrastructure that power our understanding of autonomous vehicles.
• Build complex software systems and collaborate with cross-functional machine learning and robotics teams to influence design for scalability, testability, flexibility and cost efficiency
• The team’s core project focuses on on-road performance analysis, and autonomy regression detection and prevention

What we're looking for:

• 5+ years strong meaningful individual contributor experience as a software engineer
• Strong python software development skills
• Experience developing large, high-scale cloud applications
• Exposure to architectural patterns of a large, high-scale web application (e.g., well-designed APIs, high volume data pipelines, efficient algorithms).
• Experience with large-scale NoSQL database systems
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar field or equivalent professional experience

Bonus points:

• Node.js experience or similar UI experience
• Strong AWS cloud development experience or certifications
• Experience developing AWS serverless microservices
• Go experience
