The Senior Software Engineer II role is primarily responsible for the support of the existing software applications

and enhanced software components deployed in the Cotiviti product suite. The successful candidate will be

required to collaborate effectively with senior developers, offshore development team members, business owners,

project management, and other internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and improvement of high-quality software modules for the Cotiviti product suite.
  • Analyze and resolve complex software related issues including identification of root causes originating
  • from internal or external customers.
  • Champion comprehensive documentation of the specifications, design, features, and operation of
  • applications prior to production roll out.
  • Demonstrate in-depth understanding of the primary discipline and a strong undertanding of related
  • disciplines.
  • Design and implement solutions that significantly improve performance / availability.
  • Proactively communicate technical and operational issues to both engineering and business leadership in a
  • timely manner, providing clear recommendations. Proactively communicate technical and operational

  • Ensure that all technology standards are adhered to while developing systems, while also evaluating and
  • recommending new standards for improved practices.
  • Explore new ideas and make innovative contributions to existing processes or systems which improve
  • efficiency and results.
  • Identify and evaluate new technologies, recommending those that improve efficiency and results for
  • integration into the Cotiviti product suite.
  • Execute all appropriate facets of the Cotiviti Software Development Lifecycle with a desire for continuous
  • improvement.
  • Mentor and guide other engineers, fostering their growth and development within the team.
  • Complete all responsibilities as outlined on annual Performance Plan.

Qualifications

  • BS or MS Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of industry experience.
  • Must have 4+ years’ Healthcare data experience.
  • Proficiency in working with large datasets.
  • 5+ years' experience with relational databases.
  • 5+ years' experience working with ETL processes.
  • Optimization and tuning of SQL/Oracle queries, stored procedures, and triggers.
  • Advanced understanding of Object-Oriented Analysis and Design.
  • 5+ years' experience with MS Access.
  • 5+ years' experience with scripting languages: VBScript or PowerShell.
  • 5+ years' experience with Java frameworks or.Net Framework.
  • Knowledge of one or more enterprise scheduling tools.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Optimization and tuning of SQL queries, stored procedures, and triggers.
  • 5+ years' experience with languages: Java or Python.
  • 5+ years' experience with 3rd party platforms: Appian, Cloudera Hadoop.
  • 5+ years' experience with databases: Microsoft SQL Server, HBASE, Hive.
  • 5+ years' experience with web services using Java/Spring Boot.
  • Strong knowledge and application of SAFe agile practices, preferred.
  • Proficiency in working with large data sets.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:

  • Remaining in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods.
  • Communicating with others to exchange information.
  • Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
  • Assessing the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned.
  • No adverse environmental conditions expected.
  • Must be able to provide a dedicated, secure work area.
  • Must be able to provide high-speed internet access / connectivity and office setup and maintenance.

Base compensation ranges from $135,000 to $160,000 annually. Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, education, skills, certifications, and other business needs. This role is based remotely, and all interviews will be conducted virtually.
