Job Summary:
The Red Hat OpenStack engineering team is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join us in Brno, Czech Republic.
In this role, you will lead the build-out and continuous improvement of the continuous integration (CI) process for the Red Hat OpenStack Platform deployment project. You'll contribute to feature test coverage, tooling frameworks, issue troubleshooting, and resolution of Red Hat OpenStack Platform services.
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will participate as a member of a geographically distributed team, using multiple communication tools for close collaboration. You'll need to have passion for modern open source development methods, an interest in Testing methodologies, and a desire to apply broad software engineering skills to automation. Successful applicants must reside in a country where Red Hat is registered to do business.
What you will do:
Become a leading member of the open source community to develop CI framework tools like Red Hat OpenStack Platform’s Zuul, GitHub, and GitLab CI and CI-Framework
Contribute to the delivery of Red Hat OpenStack Platform release cadence
Participate in upstream and internal continuous integration and continuous delivery (CD)
Work with the Red Hat OpenStack Platform deployment and upstream CI teams to improve automation coverage
Proactively define and implement automated test tooling
Maintain and troubleshoot issues in the Red Hat OpenStack Platform production chain pipeline
What you will bring:
Expereince with Linux development
Software development skills in Python and/or Go
Understanding of cloud computing and configuration management; Expereince with Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform (Or similiar platforms like Puppet, Chef, Terraform, etc...)
Focus on test-driven development (TDD) and good knowledge of unit testing frameworks and methodologies
Familiarity with CI and CD
Ability to work in a distributed team environment
The following is considered a plus: experience using, developing, or administering Red Hat OpenStack Platform environments, including the knowledge of Red Hat OpenStack Platform and Zuul
