Position Summary

The WorldWide Patient Safety (WWPS) Business Process Analyst is a pivotal role within the Business Capability & Excellence team in WWPS, focusing on enhancing organizational efficiency and patient safety at BMS. This professional will be instrumental in analyzing and evaluating business processes, identifying opportunities for improvement, and ensuring optimal utilization of systems. The role demands a keen understanding of user and business requirements, translating them into actionable strategies, and verifying that system deployments and strategic projects align with our investment goals, ultimately providing valuable data to guide future investments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Analysis: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and assess business improvement opportunities. Conduct a thorough analysis of current systems and processes to ensure alignment with organizational objectives. Identify gaps and support appropriate prioritization.
  • Requirements Articulation and Alignment: Liaise with different WWPS functions to ensure solution readiness, enabling the business functions to create effective user requirements for system upgrades, new implementations, or complex projects. Ensure the requirements are aligned with other strategic initiatives and deployment.
  • Performance Metrics Development: Develop and maintain metrics to measure the effectiveness of operational improvements. Provide regular updates and reports to management, highlighting the progress and areas for further optimization.
  • Investment and Prioritization Evaluation: Post-deployment, evaluate the impact of system, solution, and/or project investments, ensuring they deliver expected benefits and provide insights for future investment decisions.
  • Strategic Consultancy: Apply a consultative approach to problem-solving and data analysis, utilizing industry best practices to facilitate business advancements.

This role is designed for a forward-thinking individual adept at navigating the intersection of technology and business, ensuring that BMS remains at the forefront of patient safety and operational excellence.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in business analysis, systems analysis, or a similar role.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to assess complex systems and processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to create data visuals to build Key Performance Indicators.
  • Proficiency in translating business and user requirements into technical specifications.
  • Experience in evaluating the impact of system deployments and strategic projects.
  • Familiarity with industry best practices in business analysis and consultancy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Capable of working closely with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience in a consultancy role is a plus.
  • Familiarity with pharmacovigilance regulations and guidelines is preferred.
