Get to Know Infrastructure Engineering at Stash

We are looking for a Senior Staff Engineer, Infrastructure to spearhead the architecture design and implementation of the Stash’s Cloud Infrastructure and Developer Productivity tooling to support the growing needs from the overall Technology Organization. Our Technology utilizes NodeJS / TypeScript / ReactJS for Web, GoLang for backend services, and AWS to power our applications. Our ideal candidate would be proficient in multiple areas. As an infrastructure technology leader, you will be responsible for building reliable, scalable, and performant infrastructure to power the Stash experience. You will be part of leading the overall software and infrastructure architecture by working closely with our Product managers, Designers, and the rest of the Technology Architecture committee team to ensure that our infrastructure meets the highest standards of quality, reliability, scalability, and performance.

What You’ll Do

  • Be a technical leader and partner in driving the architecture vision of the Cloud Infrastructure. Drive adoption of modern infrastructure architecture principles and best practices.
  • Be a Subject Matter Expert in our CICD tools, IaC technologies, and other tools that drive our Product Development Experience
  • Be customer-obsessed. Recognizing and staying ahead of our customer's requirements in an evolving business and technological environment is of utmost importance
  • Partner with Security, Engineering and Product teams to evolve our infrastructure to aligned with the vision of the company
  • Own the end-to-end delivery of Cloud components from inception to production
  • Scale our Cloud infrastructure for a rapid growing user base
  • Define standards and best practices. Review code and process periodically to ensure the standards are being followed
  • Roll up your sleeves and heads down on coding when necessary
  • Create production readiness plans for all changes
  • Mentor and grow engineers

Who We’re Looking For

  • 15+ years of work experience in infrastructure engineering disciplines
  • 8+ years of experience working in Cloud technologies - AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.
  • 5+ years of hands on experience in large scale Kubernetes deployments
  • 5+ years of hands on experience with the following - IaC (Terraform), CICD (GH Actions and ArgoCD), Postgres, Redis, and Kafka
  • An experienced engineer who can turn ideas into reliable code that others find easy to understand and modify
  • Experience architecting large-scale enterprise systems
  • Creative problem solver with a passion for testing, debugging, and overall code quality
  • Data-driven decision maker, willing to take risks, fail fast and iterate quickly

Gold Stars

  • Experience building an application at scale
  • Experience with event-based architectures
  • Experience in front-end and back-end technologies like NodeJS, Typescript, ReactJS, and GoLang or related technologies
  • Experience being a mentor
  • Experience in the FinTech space

Salary Range: $180,400 - $270,600

The base salary range represents the reasonably anticipated low and high end of the salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as the candidate’s qualifications, skills, experience and competencies, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data for companies of our size and industry.
