About the Role
We are looking for an experienced coaching professional to support learners completing our Level 5 People Professional Apprenticeship.
This is primarily a coaching and pastoral role. You will build trusted relationships with learners, help them overcome barriers and provide the right balance of support, encouragement and constructive challenge. Working with learners, line managers and the wider Apprenticeship Team, you will help learners remain engaged, take ownership of their progress and apply their learning within real HR and workplace situations.
You do not need to be a senior HR specialist, but you must be confident working with HR and people professionals and understanding their workplace context.
The role is fully remote, although candidates must live within reasonable travelling distance of London for occasional meetings and company events.
Key Responsibilities
You will:
Provide expert coaching, guidance and motivation to adult learners enrolled on the Level 5 People Professional Apprenticeship
Develop tailored learning plans that support progression from each learner’s individual starting point
Integrate on-the-job and off-the-job learning, helping learners apply people practices effectively
Provide additional support and catch-up strategies based on individual learner needs
Engage line managers in learner progress through regular tripartite reviews
Prepare learners for end-point assessment
Ensure learners meet off-the-job training requirements and achieve their learning outcomes
Proactively re-engage learners who are falling behind and support them to return to planned progress
Maintain accurate and timely learner records in line with funding, quality and compliance requirements
Support with Workshop delivery and marking
Participate in Apprenticeship Team and standardisation meetings
Foster a passion for learning among professionals from a diverse range of organisations and industries
Experience, Skills & Qualifications
Essential
Experience coaching, mentoring or supporting adult learners
A strong pastoral approach and the ability to respond appropriately to barriers affecting learning
The ability to build trusted relationships while maintaining clear expectations and accountability
Confidence holding supportive and appropriately challenging conversations
Strong communication, organisation and learner-management skills
Confidence working with HR and people professionals and helping them apply learning in the workplace
A relevant qualification in coaching, teaching, assessing, learning and development or people practice, or equivalent professional experience
An understanding of safeguarding and effective learner support
Desirable
Experience within the apprenticeship or further education sector
Experience supporting Level 5 People Professional learners
Knowledge of apprenticeship requirements, including off-the-job training and end-point assessment
A recognised coaching, teaching or assessing qualification
A Level 5 or higher qualification in coaching, learning and development, HR or people practice
