What is the Leland TikTok Creator Program?
Leland is assembling a group of amazing creators to create relevant TikTok content for our audience. Creators will be paid a base rate + bonuses for high-performing videos.
What are we looking for?
We’re looking for creators that have experience building high-performing TikTok content, specifically for college students and/or job seekers. Creators that are in college themselves, recent grads, or college/grad school applicants will be given special consideration. Our only requirement would be for the creator to be able to make videos on a college campus.
Our audience is made up of college students primarily in the United States. We are looking for a specific type of video where you would be interviewing students on campus or people at a company. We recommend asking 3 of the following questions or questions like the following in the interview. Don’t be afraid to be creative and come up with funny/interesting questions on your own.
Some example questions you could ask:
Why did you choose UCLA?
What is your favorite part and least favorite part about Duke?
How did you choose your major?
What is your least favorite class you have taken?
What would you change about your university?
Why are you actually going to college?
What is the worst thing you have done in college that your parents don’t know about?
What’s one piece of advice you would give to incoming freshman?
If you could create your own major, what would it be?
What’s the weirdest thing you’ve ever eaten in the dining hall?
If your college experience was a movie, what would it be titled?
What’s one thing you would change about your university?
How has college changed you as a person?
What's a stereotype about X students that is actually true?
What's your major and how much do you expect to make out once you graduate?
Biggest college regret so far?
Biggest surprise of going to school at X?
Which major has the smartest people?
Which major has the dumbest people?
Which major has the most attractive people?
Which major has the least attractive people?
Would you rather drop out or be forced to change majors to (Math/Fine Arts/whatever)?
What's your dream job?
What's your nightmare job?
Has college been worth the investment?
Guess how much this internship or entry level job pays? (can investment banking, teaching, a bunch of different ones)
How does the program work?
Creators are paid $30 per video and expected to contribute at least one video per week (ideally 3-5 per week). In addition to the $30 per video, creators are given the following bonuses for videos that perform well:
$25 for videos that hit 50k-99k views
$50 for videos that hit 100k-249k views
$100 for videos that hit more than 250k+ views
Views for bonuses will be assessed two weeks after originally posted. Additional compensation for engagement on TikTok (via comments on other relevant videos) will be compensated at $15/hr. Eventual part- or full-time employment are available based on creator performance.
What’s in it for creators?
In addition to the monetary value of creating videos, there are several benefits to creating content for Leland’s TikTok account:
