About the team
Cloudflare Pages is a collaborative web development platform that provides users with a fast and secure way to build and host web applications. We work hard to remove barriers between vision and execution for content creators, large and small. Pages is part of Cloudflare's Emerging Technology and Incubation team where new, bold products are built and released within Cloudflare. Rather than being constrained by the structures which make Cloudflare a successful business, ETI leverages our network to deliver entirely new tools and products to our customers.
What you'll do
- Help build the next generation of CI/CD for Cloudflare's Developer Platform
- Scale and improve the Pages API, a highly interconnected service that incorporates many other Cloudflare services into the Pages product
- Collaborate with engineers across Cloudflare, and contribute at many layers of the stack
- Own your work from early discussions on. You will plan, craft milestones, and effectively communicate scope and blockers as your project progresses. You will help implement metrics and dashboards to monitor operational health after the project ships
- Leverage your creativity and developer prowess to seek out new ways to improve the platform
About you
- You are security focused. You understand that running untrusted code in a multitenant environment requires careful and deliberate work
- You are a solid backend developer with a strong understanding of Kubernetes, relational databases, and RESTful APIs
- You have experience with CI/CD, maybe even on a large scale
- Our backend is written primarily in Go, Python, and TypeScript. We recommend you have worked in one of these languages before, preferably professionally
- Although our backend isn't a mesh, parts of it rely on a decentralized architecture of Cloudflare Workers. You are familiar with Workers or have worked with microservices
- You are empathic to the developer experience and knowledgeable of best practices, trends, and pain points
- You are naturally curious and willing to take a step to learn something you don’t have experience in
- Above all, you are a collaborator. You want to join a team that upholds a culture of support, open and honest communication, and vulnerability, and that values collaboration over heroism.
