What's the opportunity?

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role as a key member of our Core Apps team, a dynamic and innovative group at the heart of Smoothwall's product development. We seek collaborative team players who thrive in a fast-paced environment, contributing their unique expertise while actively engaging in problem-solving discussions and knowledge sharing.

The Core Apps team holds the critical responsibility of architecting, building, maintaining, and monitoring a sophisticated suite of micro-services that form the foundational building blocks of all Smoothwall products. These microservices are the backbone of our solutions, ensuring seamless functionality, scalability, and resilience across our diverse product portfolio.

Requirements

What you'll need:

  • Experienced in taking part of designing complex systems and microservices

  • Experienced in writing software in a range of languages (Our stack is varied: Go & ReactJs with some older services in .NET Core & Angular)

  • Experienced in developing solutions natively in cloud platforms such as GCP, Azure, AWS (We use GCP and Azure)

  • Good SQL and non-relational skills

  • Experienced in scaling services to find the right balance between performance, costs and availability

  • Experience working in big data / high throughput environments
