About Growth Engineering at PushPressOur growth engineering team will be accountable for supercharging user acquisition, engagement, and retention for both PushPress and our gym owners. We're building this function from the ground up, which means you'll have the freedom and ownership to shape our growth strategy and tactics. You'll be the driving force behind our user funnels and growth loops, constantly experimenting and iterating to find the best ways to attract, activate, and retain users. Our growth engineers collaborate closely with our executive team to integrate growth strategies into the core of our product development and go-to-market efforts, ensuring that every touchpoint is optimized for maximum impact. We're inspired by the incredible growth machines at companies like Uber, Netflix, and Stripe, and we're excited to bring that innovation to the fitness industry.

What You’ll Do

  • Help build our growth engineering function from the ground up
  • Work closely with product and marketing to find ways to grow our user base and keep users engaged
  • Identify and optimize key funnels to improve user acquisition, activation, and conversion rates
  • Discover and implement new growth loops to drive viral growth and user engagement
  • Run experiments to test new ideas and features that could boost key growth metrics
  • Dig into user data to uncover insights and make smart, data-backed decisions
  • Partner with engineers to smoothly blend growth projects into our products and systems
  • Wear multiple hats, from hands-on coding to big-picture strategy, while working independently in a fast-paced startup environment

What You'll Need

  • 3+ years of experience in software engineering, with a strong focus on growth and experimentation
  • Proficiency in TypeScript, Node.js, and experience with frameworks like NestJS and Express
  • Familiarity with MySQL, Redis, and RabbitMQ (or similar) for data storage, caching, and message queues
  • Experience with frontend technologies like React and shared component libraries
  • Knowledge of REST APIs, GraphQL, and tools for frontend app bundling and analytics
  • Experience with data analysis, A/B testing, and tools like Google Analytics, Heap, or Mixpanel
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex data sets to identify growth opportunities
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional team environment
  • Optional: Experience with machine learning, personalization, or recommendation systems to enhance user engagement and retention
