Join a dynamic team as a Software Engineer focused on Human Data Platforms, where you will play a crucial role in building and shipping systems that enhance AI model performance. This position offers the opportunity to work on innovative data and document infrastructure, enabling real-world expertise to contribute to the development of frontier AI models.
Develop and ship features across the backend (Python/FastAPI) and frontend (React/Next.js/TypeScript)
Build data pipelines for evaluation and model control layers
Own secure document pipelines, ensuring no data leakage while managing permissions across S3, GCS, and Azure
Develop OCR and search systems for PDFs, images, and scanned documents
Parse and enforce complex nested JSON structures
Create document tooling for generating, editing, and annotating PDFs and images
Debug and scale pipelines and storage systems to improve performance and reliability
Enhance system design across the stack
Proven experience as a strong builder with Python (FastAPI) and React
Comfortable working across the technology stack
Solid understanding of APIs, SQL, async systems, and data modeling
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
Ability to work with complex data systems or pipelines
Demonstrated high ownership, low ego, and fast execution
Preferred experience with LLM or AI systems, OCR, document processing, or search systems
Experience in secure data handling and permissions
Track record of building and shipping real systems, not just tutorials
This is a full-time remote position, requiring at least 6-8 hours of overlap with the PST timezone. Applicants must be eligible to work in the specified remote location and meet the timezone overlap requirement.
