What is the role about?

As a Solution Consultant you are part of an international Sales team and will be a significant contributor to the success of our young, dynamic company.

You are a deep Software, Metering or Utility industry expert who enjoys being part of a Cuculus front-end team engaging existing or potential new customers. You will be working alongside the sales lead focusing on deep understanding of customers’ technical requirements for an integrated technology solution and matching them with Cuculus Solution design. This position requires a blend of deep technical expertise, industry knowledge, and strong leadership skills.

Required skills and qualifications

  • Strong expertise in Metering or Software for Utilities.
  • 10+ years’ experience in Solutions Engineering or Technical Pre-Sales sales within preferably in the software technology industry.
  • Strong technical background with expertise in software architecture, design, and development. Client success orientation – strong ownership for Customer satisfaction and project success
  • Advanced communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with clients, internal stakeholders, and executive leadership.
  • Demonstrated results-driven focus - you go out of your skin to finish your part at quality in time.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and driving projects to successful completion.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development, staying abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.
  • Willingness to travel to support demonstrations and customer engagements.
  • ‘Can do’ mindset.
  • Bachelor degree in Engineering.

  • Work together with Sales Managers in customer engagement through a pre-sales and early post-sales phases.
  • Assist Sales Managers in developing sales strategy, capturing upsell opportunities via established relationships with senior technical representatives.
  • Collaborate with Product Management, Development and Delivery teams to develop and execute strategic initiatives that drive business growth and customer success.
  • Be the engine of technical engagement process, including requirements gathering, solution design, proof-of-concept development, and proposal creation.
  • Develop and deliver technical presentations, whitepapers, and case studies to highlight the capabilities and benefits of our solutions.
  • Influence customers towards Cuculus’ solutions through a consultative engagement; helping customers develop a technical strategy based on a business case.
  • Outline and promote Cuculus solutions within the context of the customer’s wider IT environment as an end-to-end flow, and articulate benefits of the Cuculus solution over the competition.
  • Translate customer demands and challenges into sellable work packages of our technology.
  • Act as a technical advisor and subject matter expert for customers, partners and Cuculus teams, providing insights, recommendations, and thought leadership.
  • Represent Cuculus at industry events, conferences, and customer meetings, showcasing our expertise and thought leadership in solution engineering.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning, promoting knowledge sharing, skills development, and professional growth.
