We at Hiab are looking for a Sourcing Specialist to join our team of professionals.

We're looking for a person dynamic and data-oriented and team working focus who will participate in source selection and the identification, tracking and implementation of cost-saving actions to meet the year-on-year productivity targets for the respective category using global benchmarking in order to leverage spend and optimize purchasing synergy with negotiation skills.

The position could be based in Minerbio (Italy), Zaragoza (Spain) or Stargard (Poland) however it can be with a fully remote work model. You will report to our Category Manager Hydraulics. You will need the ability to travel, sometimes at short notice

Main tasks and responsibilities

  • Collaborate, identify, develop and execute sourcing activities across Hiab spend
  • Hiab RFQ preparation, analysis of data, preparation for negotiation and/or negotiation/business award according to delegation of authority
  • Identify, propose and later implement and track and implement cost saving actions
  • Develop open book costings, budgets and raw material forecasting for the suppliers within scope.
  • Successful cross-functional participation in New Product Development, Supplier relationship Management (SRM), early supplier involvement and selection with technology development, productivity, total cost reduction make/buy programs, should-cost modeling, and business process and system implementation
  • Manage and improve the Hiab-wide supplier performance
  • Support new product development by taking ownership and leading all sourcing deliverables within their own area of responsibility
  • Lead the QAP process of activities assigned with support of Supplier Development
  • Participate in the evaluation and develop the supply base
  • Close cooperation with supply planning to support capacity planning and scalability / flexibility planning via development of Logistics agreements
  • Identification and development of new manufacturing partners within BCC countries to support current and future needs of the business
  • Collaborate in contract negotiation including payment term, quality/warranty/logistics annexes and raw material indices.

What you’ll need to succeed

We're looking for someone who has a continuous improvement mindset with a business-driven and fact based approach towards suppliers with a focus on building long-term relationships.

  • Degree Level or Equivalent, with relevant engineering and/or industrial experience in mechanical, hydraulics or electronics
  • At least 3 years of relevant global industrial experience (truck, construction machines, mining, agriculture or automotive) and work experience in sourcing roles in an international and multi-site company
  • Experience in working with large suppliers with global multi-site footprint and managing supplier relations and negotiations
  • Project management, cross-functional improvement teams and supplier development programs; experience in using ERP systems
  • Experience in complex steel assemblies / hydraulic systems / electrical & electronics preferred
  • Fluency in English - both written and spoken
  • Data collection and analysis
  • Excellent communication, cooperation and influencing skills when working with different senior level roles internally and externally with different suppliers
  • BCC/LCC Sourcing in EMEA and APAC
  • Negotiation skills.
