School Summary

South Carolina Connections Academy (SCCA) is a tuition-free, K–12 online public school. The school was launched in 2008–09 under contract to the South Carolina Connections Academy Charter School. SCCA is South Carolina’s very first virtual charter school, authorized by the Charter Institute at Erskine The school serves students in grades K–12 from anywhere in South Carolina.

Position Summary

From the SCCA office in Columbia and your home office, the Executive Team Coordinator will provide comprehensive administrative support for the Executive Director and the Chief Academic Officer, as well as the school’s leadership team at large. The Executive Team Coordinator will specialize in logistics, communication, stakeholder engagement, and school operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Accompany the Executive Director (ED) and Chief Academic Officer (CAO) to relevant meetings and events.
  • Synthesize information from meetings to capture notes and action items.
  • Create and send correspondence to stakeholders on behalf of the ED and CAO.
  • Coordinate logistics for school events, professional learning opportunities, etc.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of special events, projects, and initiatives led by the executive leadership team.
  • Review venue contracts for school events and serve as the point of contact.
  • Coordinate and manage the schedules of the executive leadership team, including arranging meetings, appointments, and travel itineraries.
  • Procure materials and supplies.
  • Manage expenses, invoices, and billing.
  • Prepare and distribute agendas, minutes, and other relevant materials for meetings attended by the executive leadership team.
  • Conduct research, compile data, and prepare reports as requested by members of the executive leadership team.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, including parents, staff, and community members, ensuring effective communication and timely responses to inquiries.
  • Maintain confidentiality and discretion in handling sensitive information and communications.
  • Collaborate with other administrative staff and departments to ensure smooth operations and effective support services across the school.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the executive leadership team.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • This is a hybrid position with both remote work and work from the SCCA Columbia office.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Previous experience in an administrative role, preferably supporting senior-level executives or leadership teams.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a professional and courteous demeanor.
  • Proficiency in office software applications, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Gmail, Chat).
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion in handling sensitive information.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and demands in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to use a personal electronic device and email address for 2-step authentication.
