    About this role

    About Us

Circle Medical is an adult-only primary care practice committed to the empanelment of primary care providers resulting in high quality, continuity of care for their patients through telemedicine. We are an evidence-based practice that leverages our proprietary HIPAA-compliant technology that ensures a delightful and safe experience for patients and clinicians via two-way, video-audio appointments.

We accept most PPO plans and help our patients understand their coverage so that providers can focus on what is most important.

Please find out more about us on our website.

    Description

Circle Medical is an adult-only virtual-first primary care medical practice. We have immediate openings for board-certified MDs and DOs to serve as Supervising Physicians (SP) for our advanced practice practitioners (APPs) in multiple states.

SP collaborate mostly asynchronously with their assigned delegates to conduct patient chart reviews, delegate prescriptive authority, etc. Furthermore, the SP must fulfill any federal/state/payor-specific requirements as a supervisor, such as attendance in quarterly meetings, etc.

The role requires confidence in clinical decision-making while adhering to evidence-based clinical guidelines. Our in-house electronic health record (EHR) makes documentation and chart review easy.

Pay is based on the number of states and the number of delegates the physician supervises. Malpractice with tail is also provided. The number of hours dedicated to this role will vary based on active state licenses, and the number of delegates assigned at any given time.

*** Applicants must reside in South Carolina.

    Essential Functions & Responsibilities

    • Employ high-quality, independent medical judgment while overseeing care provided by your delegates within our medical group

    • Supervise a minimum of 4 APP practitioners (both PA and NP)

    • Be comfortable with supervising care provided to all of our patients along our service lines, including typical primary care complaints, as well as a high volume of mental health conditions such as anxiety, depression, and ADHD

    • Provide constructive feedback to your delegates regarding patient care and documentation, and report clinical or other professional concerns related to your delegates to Circle Medical Clinical Leadership as needed

    • Guide your delegates on an as-needed basis if they have any clinical concerns or questions

    • Perform clinical note reviews on at least 5% of your delegates’ clinical notes monthly

    • An absence of 30 days will result in re-assignment of delegates

    • Pay is prorated per completed week of service

    • Chart review cadence may change based on patient location and payor, and compensation will be adjusted according to effort required

    • Meet with your delegates via video or telephone conferencing at least once every quarter (can be a group meeting, does not need to be 1:1), more frequently if required by local state or other authorities, and create a written record of the occurrence and attendance of the meetings

    • Adhere to our chart review service level expectations

    • Supply prompt responses to credentialing and enrollment requests from Circle Medical administration

    Requirements

    • Graduation from an accredited MD/DO program

    • Board-Certified in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Emergency Medicine. Other Board Certifications can be considered on a case by case basis

    • Two years post-residency practice experience is strongly preferred; 3-5+ years is ideal

    • Ideal candidates will have experience as a primary care provider in an outpatient, continuity-of-care clinical setting

    • Although telemedicine experience is not required, it is preferred

    • South Carolina DEA and License are required at this time.

    • A PC with Windows PRO/Enterprise Edition or a Mac newer than 2020 is required. Device must also have 16 GB of RAM.

    Salary: $1,300 – $12,000 / month
