ABOUT THE ROLE

Currently, we are looking to strengthen our team with a passionate anddedicated Specialist, Technical Support. Will provide first and second tier support to the fleet of Power Factors customers. As the first level of support, the specialist will provide determination of solution support, and in some cases, will provide the support for ticket resolution. For all tickets that lie beyond the skill or scope of the specialist’s role, the tickets will then be escalated to a subject matter expert.

Support Specialists are the primary point of contact for all customer ticket interactions, and responsible for the customer support experience from issue submission through resolution.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Support daily technical integrations project focused on creating custom calculations and visualizations to supplement the core Power Factors products.
  • Receive inbound customer support requests through phone, email and within our Freshdesk Ticketing Platform
  • Determine and dispatch internally to appropriate internal resources depending on support ticket details by facilitating a clean, clear handoffs of work responsibilities.
  • Take part in the on-call shift rotation so that we can support as 1st level in critical incidents
  • Handling SCADA Adaptation requests coming from clients
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose data flow issues from remote SCADA sites into the Power Factors Cloud
  • Developing a solid knowledge of the product and issues that commonly arise

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL

Specifically, we are looking for someone with the following toolbox:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Electronics/Communication or Software Engineering.
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Knowledge of common industrial communications protocols like Modbus RTU/TCP, OPC DA/UA, DNP3
  • Ability to interpret networking, data flows and electrical diagrams
  • Fundamental Linux knowledge
  • Fundamental Network/IT knowledge
  • Positive attitude and emotional intelligence that allows for clear, honest, and candid communication with broad range of team members and stakeholders
  • Understanding of OSI Soft’s PI system and SQL Database
  • Knowledge of data acquisition systems, SCADA, and related applications technologies
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a technical support role in the renewable industry or operations & maintenance (O&M)
