The Gist...

Our Sr Product Management SME will have extensive experience in IT or Product Development, with a proven track record in coaching and mentoring Product Owners (POs) and Product Managers (PMs). This role involves evaluating Product Management maturity, providing strategic recommendations, and guiding teams to develop robust product strategies and improve user experiences. You will also facilitate workshops, implement process improvements, and foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

What Your Day Might Include…

  • Evaluate Product Management maturity and deliver strategic recommendations.
  • Guide Product Owners and Managers in developing strategies, managing requirements, and improving user experience.
  • Lead workshops to gather and prioritize product requirements.
  • Identify and implement process improvements for better user experience and product functionality.
  • Leverage innovative Product Management techniques to enhance customer experience, such as Design Thinking, Lean Startup Methodology, Customer Journey Mapping, Persona Development, Rapid Prototyping, etc.
  • Facilitate interactive workshops and hands-on sessions to support Product Management
  • Encourage a culture of innovation and collaboration among Stakeholders
  • Help Product Owners adopt Agile practices for consistent value delivery and feedback loops.
  • Empower Product Owners to make key business decisions and own product epics through focused training and coaching.
  • Create templates and tools for integrating Design Thinking into daily workflows and foster a community of practice for experience sharing.
  • Develop project scopes, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
  • Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short- and long-term goals.
  • Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques.
  • Manage relationships with clients, stakeholders, and project teams.
Requirements

You’ll Bring These Qualifications...

  • U.S. citizenship required to obtain Public Trust
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field
  • 10+ years of professional IT or Product Development experience
  • Proven experience in product management, particularly in coaching and mentoring Product Owners and Product Managers.
  • Strong understanding of product strategy development, requirements management, user experience improvement, metrics and performance tracking, and process improvement.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and the ability to shift teams from a time-centric to a value-centric approach.
  • Proficiency in Design Thinking practices, including user interviews, empathy mapping, rapid prototyping, and facilitating design sprints.
  • Experience in enhancing customer experience through innovative product management techniques.
  • Strong analytical skills to conduct assessments, evaluate maturity levels, and deliver strategic recommendations.
  • Excellent communication skills to facilitate workshops, provide one-on-one coaching, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
