We are looking for an accomplished leader to serve as Sr. Product Manager II (Strategy & GTM Operations) at Cars Commerce. In this role, you will be an extension of the CPO to drive strategic initiatives across teams throughout the company. You will own the effective alignment, communication and execution of the enterprise product strategy and will drive prioritization of strategic initiatives, oversee program management, and communicate objectives between departments. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in a business strategy and/or product management role, with experience in matrixed organizations, C-level engagement, and cross-functional team alignment.

Objectives of this Role

  • Own definition and measurement of strategic product and business initiatives from development through successful execution with cross-functional senior leadership
  • Communicate the product vision and strategy at all levels of the organization to drive alignment and awareness with executives, management and execution focused teams
  • Review, design, and execute on improvements to org structure, bridge knowledge and skills gaps through creation of professional development and performance management programs
  • Identify areas to improve processes to drive improved outcomes for our teams and our customers and align on executable approaches to implement process changes into teams
  • Manage strategic vendor and partner portfolio to ensure value recognition and ROI is being obtained and strategic positioning with vendors and partners is clear and optimized from an investment standpoint
  • Own human capital investment strategy and capital investment planning for the product organization

Daily and Monthly Responsibilities

  • Work directly with senior leadership across the organization to clearly align on strategic priorities, company-wide communication, team engagement and well-being, product updates, proposals and planning
  • Drive the product management human capital strategy including hiring plans across the product organization and ensuring alignment to key goals and outcomes for all new hires
  • Create programs focused on the overall employee experience, including onboarding, ongoing training and development programs and team building and growth initiatives
  • Facilitate strategy planning sessions and planning and coordinating key departmental/organizational meetings, ensuring clear accountability and action items are tracked and followed through on by owners
  • Build and develop relationships with all employees to assist with ensuring there’s a clear voice of the team in the way decisions are made, communicated and shared
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for the product strategy and product organization, handling inquiries and developing action plans to address them, and assisting with the preparation and dissemination of communications

Skills and Qualifications

  • 7+ years in a product management, business or executive management role
  • Experience planning and leading strategic initiatives
  • Proven experience organizing and directing multiple teams and departments
  • Excellent communicator in written and verbal form
  • Versatile interests with a willingness and desire and ability to dive into a variety of different types of projects and initiatives
  • Master’s degree in Business Administration or similar field or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with data analysis
  • Experience with budget management
  • Consulting experience with a focus on operations management
  • Proven success in a project coordination role
  • Strong project reporting skills, with a focus on interdepartmental communication

In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share the base salary range for this position which is not inclusive of bonuses, benefits or other forms of compensation that the position may be eligible for. If you are hired at Cars Commerce, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as skills and/or experience. If the salary range is close to what you're seeking, then we encourage you to apply and learn more about the total compensation package for this position.

Salary Range$149,800—$187,300 USD
