Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The Quality and Safety Programs Specialist independently supports multiple areas in support of L&A client tasks and missions and corporate program activities. Responsible for ensuring the timely and effective execution of assigned client and corporate tasks consistent with established requirements and applicable implementing procedures. Drives needed corrective and improvement actions, trending, and metric analysis to foster continuous improvement.
Coordinates with task team to plan and deliver task deliverables
Develop and track assigned program performance to objectives and performance targets metrics. Promote and act to improve program effectiveness;
Develop and improve program procedures
Identify and document risks. Verify completion and effectiveness of corrective actions;
Plan and support and or lead client tasks and internal audits and assessments to evaluate the health of the overall programs
Review actions associated with audit and assessment findings and opportunities for improvement to ensure objective evidence is appropriate
Train personnel on the program requirements and practices
Assist with client supplier performance evaluation activities.
Education and Licensure
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or a technical field. Equivalent combination of education and experience can be considered in lieu of education.

At least 10 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience; roles requiring the understanding of, and operation to comprehensive regulatory requirements
Effective written, listening, and oral communication skills
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of applications
NQA-1 or ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems experience and understanding of OSHA requirements and associated implementation
Ability to obtain NQA-1 Lead Auditor certification
Ability to travel to client sites to support task/mission activities (typical duration 3-10 business days)
Preferred Qualifications and Location Details
Active DOE or DoD security clearance is strongly preferred
NQA-1 or ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems experience and understanding of OSHA requirements and associated implementation
Experience implementing and advising implementation of requirements in a systematic manner using a graded approach
Ability to provide oversight of programs, assume leadership responsibilities for team activities and interact with and coordinate with multiple organizations, including federal counterparts
Proficiency with data analysis tools
Experience developing and/or implementing regulatory program and procedures in an industrial setting
Experience in performing and ideally, leading regulatory program assessments and audits
Applicable professional certifications
Remote position with periodic travel
