Detailed Description:
(This is a full time remote position)
A Staff Accountant, IT Finance is responsible for the accounting functions of the IT Finance team and overall organization.
As a Staff Accountant at Community Health Systems, you’ll play a vital role in supporting our purpose to help people get well and live healthier by providing safe, quality healthcare, building enduring relationships with our patients, and providing value for the people and communities we serve. Requirements:
- One to two years of experience in Accounting/Finance
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field from an accredited university
- Strong understanding of general accounting knowledge and principles
- Strong computer skills
Preferred:
- Google Suite
- Oracle
- Experience in IT Finance, Project Accounting and Fixed Assets
- Six Sigma Certified
About the Opportunity:
- Month End Close: Participate as needed during close processes; monthly, quarterly and year end
- Contracts: Assist in reviewing and documenting IT and Telecom contracts for proper general ledger coding and allocations on requisitions, purchase orders and invoices.
- Communication and collaboration: Collaborating with IT department leaders and other stakeholders to ensure that financial objectives are aligned with broader business and organizational goals and objectives
- Continuous Improvement: Assist in assessing current processed and identifying improvements, testing and applying those in production
