Job Summary

Work with product teams, analysts, and engineers to design and develop systems and application software focusing on the backend and front-end of existing and new products. Hands-on experience developing APIs by adhering to coding standards and aligning with the business requirements by evaluating the impact and benefits on the users. Experience in developing APIs and front-end for new systems and adding features to existing applications.

Responsibilities

• Responsible and self-motivated individual for understanding existing applications/apis and the development of new APIs/features in an existing MVC based architecture product and new product assigned as per priority

• Investigates, analyzes, and evaluates new technologies by understanding the existing backend architecture and business logic to develop new APIs and enhancement to existing ones

• Collaborate actively in technical discussions with an open mindset of understanding the root cause of any features/improvements with local/globally distributed teams

• Follow the best coding principles to develop APIs adhering to the SLOs and responsive applications that are aligned with the wireframes

• Participates in peer reviews and develops code for a feature and multiple modules

• Acquaint with company-level UI components and help to develop reusable components

• Thorough understanding of the usage of APIs in front-end

• Deliver quality products within the stipulated time supported by the wireframes/mock-ups

• Identify bottlenecks and bugs by bringing up the shortcomings and devise solutions to these problems before they change into risks

• Promptly resolve production issues based on priority - with a focus on unblocking the customer and ensuring problems do not recur

Qualifications

• BS in computer science or equivalent with 2+ years or MS in computer science or equivalent with 6+ years of hands-on professional software development experience architecting, building, deploying, and maintaining customer-facing UI at scale in an innovative engineering environment.

• Must have experience in API and Front-end development with expertise in cloud-based application development with in-depth knowledge of primary skills of React along with its latest new features

• Experience with multiple architecture styles on consuming micro-services in the user interface

• Knowledge and mid-level experience in architecting and building large-scale systems using a scale-out architecture that requires high availability, performance, high scalability, and multi-tenancy

• Real-world experience with continuous integration and delivery using a public cloud such as AWS and container technologies such as Docker will be a plus

• Hands-on experience with Agile-scrum methodology and TDD

• A sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on the company’s success
