Role Overview
Tern is a venture-backed software company on a mission to reshape the $127B travel agency industry by giving power back to the entrepreneurs who built it. The Staff Engineer, R&D AI Tooling will be responsible for pushing the company's AI tooling dramatically further, accelerating and compounding R&D workflows, and tackling bottlenecks that cap autonomous throughput.
What You Will Do
Ship real engineering work every week in the same codebase and on the same problems as the rest of the team, accelerate and compound R&D workflows, tackle bottlenecks that cap autonomous throughput, train and certify engineers on new workflows, and level up the team's evals, tooling, and prompt engineering practices.
