As a remote-first organization, our employees, like our customers, are based around the world.

As a Staff User Researcher, you will work across the organization to drive user-centered product decisions and inform broader strategy. Working alongside product, design, engineering, and GTM teams, you will be responsible for scoping, designing, and conducting research that delivers impactful insights to guide the business. You’ll manage and evolve our Voice of the Customer program, leveraging user feedback to align product and engineering priorities and optimize our product roadmap. As a senior member of the team, you’ll take on complex research challenges, working independently while mentoring others, and ensuring that user research is integrated into decision-making across the organization.

What you’ll be doing

  • Lead strategic and tactical research initiatives that align with (as well as inform) high-level business goals and product priorities
  • Manage the Voice of the Customer program, integrating data into decision-making for product and engineering teams to guide roadmap updates
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (customer-facing teams, product managers, designers, engineers) to scope and lead research projects, influence product strategies, and generate actionable insights
  • Synthesize user feedback and customer data from multiple sources, including qualitative research and Voice of the Customer inputs, to inform product direction
  • Advocate for a user-centric approach, empowering cross-functional teams to incorporate research and data-driven decisions into their work
  • Create and present persuasive, impactful deliverables that inform leadership and drive strategic product decisions
  • Mentor and develop junior researchers, ensuring high-quality research execution and delivering consistent, actionable insights
  • Contribute to research operations initiatives including the continuous evolution of the team’s methodologies, processes, and ResearchOps initiatives

What we’ll expect from you:

  • BS or MS in Interaction Design, Cognitive Science, HCI, Anthropology, Psychology, or equivalent experience
  • 7-10 years of experience leading user and/or market research for digital products and services, preferably with technical users or B2B products
  • Demonstrated experience managing large-scale research initiatives and influencing cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrated expertise in qualitative and quantitative research methods, with an ability to select and combine approaches to deliver actionable insights; additionally, experience in market research is a plus
  • Previous experience managing a Voice of the Customer program, using customer data to drive alignment on product priorities
  • Strong leadership skills, with proven ability to mentor and guide junior researchers
  • Strong data analysis and dashboarding skills, preferably with past experience in Looker and/or Snowflake
  • Exceptional communication skills, able to craft compelling narratives and influence senior stakeholders across the organization
  • Proficiency with research and data analysis tools such as Qualtrics, Optimal Workshop, Great Question, Looker, Snowflake, and more
