About the Role

Welcome Pickups is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Strategic Partnerships Manager to join our dynamic team. This pivotal role focuses on driving business development within our B2B segments, primarily targeting travel partners, large distribution partners, and Hotel Chains. As a Strategic Partnerships Manager, you will play a key role in shaping the future of our company’s strategic partnerships and market expansion.

Responsibilities:

Develop and Implement Account Strategies:

  • Craft comprehensive account management plans, identify key industry players, and create targeted account maps. Your expertise will be crucial in expanding our strategic reach.

Lead Account Management:

  • Act as the main point of contact for major distribution partners, blending commercial, marketing, and technical expertise to ensure effective collaboration with the product team and high-quality customer support.

Strategic Collaboration and Leadership:

  • Work closely with the Chief Commercial Officer and the Founders to manage and optimize the strategic account pipeline. Lead initiatives that align with our business goals and drive growth.

Market Analysis and Insight Development:

  • Utilize your analytical skills to scrutinize market trends and customer data, crafting strategies that align with our business objectives and respond to market dynamics.

Complete Ownership of Sales Process:

  • You will have end-to-end ownership of your portfolio, managing every aspect of the sales cycle. This role is designed for individuals who thrive in a setting where they are responsible for the full sales cycle and success of the customer relationship.

Performance Monitoring and Optimization:

  • Regularly assess and report on key performance indicators, ensuring that targets and KPIs are met or exceeded. Your focus on results will drive continuous improvement in our account management processes.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field, with an MBA being highly advantageous.
  • At least 5 years of experience in strategic account management and business development, preference given to candidates with travel/travel tech experience.
  • Exceptional ability in synthesizing complex data to inform strategic decisions. Proficiency in analytical tools such as Power BI or Tableau is essential. The ideal candidate should demonstrate the capability to not only gather and analyze data but also provide context and communicate insights effectively to various stakeholders
  • Strong proficiency in CRM systems, especially HubSpot, with a track record of following sales excellence principles. Your ability to navigate complex sales environments will be key.
  • Exceptional skills in developing account management plans and mapping industry players. Your strategic approach will be vital in identifying and capitalizing on new opportunities.
  • Outstanding communication and leadership abilities, capable of driving team success and fostering strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, for clear and effective interactions.
  • Ability to identify challenges, propose solutions, and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Team player with a collaborative approach.
  • A strong sense of ownership.
  • Digital native: fluent in web and digital technologies
  • Out-of-the-box thinking.
  • A friendly and upbeat personality.
