Job Description

What do we do?

Paddle offers SaaS companies a completely different approach to their payment infrastructure. Instead of assembling and maintaining a complex stack of payments-related apps and services, we’re a Merchant of Record for our customers. That means we take away 100% of the pain of payment fragmentation. It’s faster, safer, cheaper, and, above all, way better.

We’re backed by investors including KKR, FTV Capital, Kindred, Notion, and 83North and serve over 3000 software sellers in 245 territories globally.

The Role:

We’re looking for an Operations Analyst to join our Customer Success team. It’s our job to enable Paddle’s diverse functions, supplying our teams with data, insights and tools to make them more efficient and support our rapid growth.

The core of your role will be to build tools and iterate on processes across various teams, including making data accessible and easy to understand so that we can make informed decisions. You’ll also have plenty of opportunities to refine our data, seek out new data sources and implement solutions to enhance the insights we’re able to gain from our analysis. You’ll also help on projects from conception to delivery, ensuring Paddle is able to scale effectively.

What you'll do:

  • Collaborate closely with Support, Risk, Sales, Marketing and P&E teams at Paddle to enhance tech stack, optimise processes, and improve decision-making with faster, data-driven insights.

  • Design and implement innovative tools and solutions to enhance commercial efficiency and team productivity, while driving proactive, scalable changes to lead operational improvements.

  • Identify and address operational inefficiencies, facilitating cross-functional improvements to streamline processes and enhance funnel efficiency.

  • Lead the evaluation and adoption of new technologies, optimising workflows in line with industry best practices and technological advancements.

  • Analyse complex data sets to extract actionable insights, develop dashboards and reporting tools for real-time business performance and market trends analysis, and support data-driven decision-making.

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging innovation, experimentation, and learning within the Operations team.

We'd love to hear from you:

  • You possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in Operations, with a proven track record of problem-solving and process improvement.

  • You have demonstrated analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data, draw actionable insights, and make data-driven decisions.

  • You know how to work with databases, and you are an expert in writing queries using MySQL (or similar).

  • You have a solid understanding of the internal processes and structure of a tech company, including stakeholder responsibilities.

  • You are proactive and solution-oriented, with the ability to identify issues and propose effective solutions, while being adaptable to fast-paced and uncertain environments.

  • You have excellent communication and collaboration skills, capable of working effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.

  • You have skills in managing projects, from planning to execution and impact assessment.

  • You have an eagerness to continuously learn and improve, embracing innovation and experimentation within the Operations team.

  • You have experience using at least one scripting language such as Python or JS.

  • You are familiar with AWS or other developer environments and experience in using them for tool and process development.

Nice to haves:

  • Knowledge of e-commerce platforms like Stripe, Braintree, PayPal, Fastspring, and Cleverbridge, to understand the ecosystem in which Paddle operates.

  • You have an understanding of one or more of the following teams, and their role/structure within a tech company. Support, Risk, Marketing or Sales.

  • You have experience of using/implementing at least one of Support, Risk, Marketing or Sales tools.

  • You have an interest/knowledge of AI, and how to utilise AI within processes.

Everyone is welcome at Paddle

We’re more interested in your craft, curiosity, passion for learning and what you’ll add to our culture. We encourage you to apply even if you don’t match every part of the job ad, especially if you’re part of an underrepresented group.

Please let us know if there’s anything we can do to better support you through the application process and in the workplace. We will do everything we can to support any accommodations needed. We’re committed to building a diverse team where everyone feels safe to be their authentic self. Let’s grow together.
