Title: Supply Chain Data Analyst

Location: Remote in India

Role Description:

We are looking for a Supply Chain Data Analyst to join our team! As a member of the Supply Chain Operations team, you’ll be responsible for deriving actionable insights from technical data research to help our internal team members make critical judgements. You will help identify and troubleshoot errors by drilling into outliers within the data, and work with internal stakeholders to identify and push a fix. You’ll help with ad hoc research on critical business initiatives and develop creative solutions to help ensure our merchants have a smooth fulfillment experience. You will become an expert on all things data at ShipBob, and work with our other data team members to streamline and optimize our workflows.

What you’ll do:

  • Perform root cause analysis on critical issues related to processing of orders and escalate issues to the appropriate stakeholders.
  • Use a combination of technical skills and statistical methods to identify trends and track key metrics to understand how our network is performing on key operational segments.
  • Take ownership of routine data analytics tasks and answer questions submitted through our ticketing system.
  • Investigate data related to product dimensions to reduce the overall cost of shipping orders.
  • Build self-service applications and reports to help other departments access and make informed judgements.
  • Become an expert on the data collected at ShipBob to be a resource for other technical resources at the company, and advocate for changes in our WMS if critical pieces of information are not being tracked.
  • Communicate results of complex investigations and projects to non-technical audiences in a clear and concise way.
  • Monitor KPIs to learn whether an intervention is having the intended effect on the problem at hand.
  • Additional duties and responsibilities as necessary.

What you’ll bring to the table:

  • At least 2+ years of professional experience in data analytics.
  • Excellent research skills and problem solving required.
  • Solid communication skills with an ability to collaborate with different stakeholders.
  • Expert knowledge of SQL and Power BI.
  • Proficient in Excel.
  • Familiarity with Python is preferred.
  • Supply chain experience and e-commerce data experience are a plus.
