Aretum, a leading government contracting company specializing in technology-enabled mission support services, is seeking an experienced System Analyst Lead/Project Manager to join our team. As a System Analyst Lead/Project Manager at Aretum, you will play a crucial role in leading and managing technical projects and providing system analysis expertise to our clients in the government sector.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and document business requirements, system requirements, and workflows with appropriate business leaders/stakeholders and worked with developers and team leads to translate user needs into functional specifications.
  • Facilitate requirement-gathering work sessions and workflows and document findings into a traceability matrix/user stories
  • Review, analyze, and manage system and user requirements from business users.
  • Create and groom product backlogs and user stories, develop acceptance criteria, and ensure sprint goals are accomplished.
  • Work with UX professionals, stakeholders, SMEs, and development teams to create prototypes and MVPs.

Requirements

  • Detail-oriented Senior Business Analyst/ Business System Analyst with project management experience in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), using Agile-SCRUM iterative development methodologies in various projects and environments
  • Experience with data analysis, business process mapping, workflows, and use-case diagrams to document functional requirements
  • Strong skills in defining concise documentation, including product business requirements, system requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, use cases, and requirement traceability matrix
  • Expertise in facilitating and coordinating Joint Application Development (JAD) sessions, Joint Application Requirement (JAR), or similar stakeholder requirement gathering sessions, workshops, and design reviews.
  • Knowledge and experience with recent IT project management skills (software development), agile techniques, and continuous integration.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, capable of presenting and articulating complex concepts in front of key stakeholders and Subject Matter Experts.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and conflict resolution skills

  • Experience analyzing and documenting business requirements and workflows with management, SMEs/stakeholders, collaborating with developers, and team leads to translate user needs into functional specifications and use stories.
  • Experienced with usability designs, testing, UX playbooks, wireframes, best practices, prototyping, and other design strategies

Preferred Skills:

  • Previous work experience with workflow systems, as well as experience designing and developing electronic workflow systems, is strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of Cloud systems, API, and Microservices is highly desired.
  • Strong analytical ability during functional testing, regression testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT), preferred
  • Greenfield project experience a plus
