Sealing Technologies, a Parsons Company, provides Cyber Security services and cutting-edge technologies to the Federal Government. SealingTech is looking for an experienced and talented Software Engineer to join our Security Enhanced Information Sharing (SEIS) Mission Area, to help drive the quality assurance of a High-Performance Computing (HPC) solution that SealingTech is creating for the Department of Defense.
As a Systems Engineer II, you will be part of our agile team, supporting the planning and execution of our quality assurance effort to ensure the solution meets the needs of our customers.
As a Systems Engineer II, you should be able to understand, deploy, and maintain common infrastructure components such as DNS, LDAP or NTP operating in highly complex solutions. You will be expected to support the deployment and operation of the infrastructure components and leverage them to meet specific customer requirements. You should have a solid level of understanding of virtualization, containerization, and other deployment methodologies.
You will perform a variety of complex project tasks applied to specialized technology problems. Tasks involve integration of electronic processes or methodologies to resolve total system problems or technology problems. You will apply analytical and systematic approaches in the resolution of problems of workflow, organization, and planning. You will direct and assist system engineers in the application of system engineering principles to the solution of secure systems design problems.
The ideal candidate is expected to have knowledge of some of the following: Red Hat Linux, VMware ESXi operating systems, VMware vSphere, Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization, OpenStack virtualization, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker/Podman containerization, Ansible, Python, Terraform, Red Hat IdM, Web Servers (Apache, Nginx), and Databases.
Minimum Qualifications:
- US Citizen
- Ability to obtain a Top-Secret clearance
- Requires a HS Diploma (BA/BS Preferred) and 0-5 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
- Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the field.
- Experience designing plans, procedures, and tools to test and evaluate software
- Experience developing test strategies and plans in coordination with team members and system owners
- Experience with functional and positive and negative testing
- Experience working with an engineering team to report bugs
- Experience with test management software such as TestLink
- Comfortable operating in Linux environment
- Comfortable in an Agile environment coordinating with cross-functional team members to accomplish project objectives
- Able to configure a pre-designed environment which has existing documentation and has been developed and deployed before
- Meets DoD 8570 IAT Level II requirements
Preferred Knowledge and Qualifications:
- DevOps mindset
- A working knowledge of other programming or scripting
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
- SCRUM certified
- Security+ certified
- Linux+ certified
- Ability to install and maintain automated testing tools
- Use various programming languages to develop testing scripts
- GUI testing and Usability testing experience
- Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
- Knowledge of HPC
- Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML)
- Front end development/GUI integration
- Experience with MS Teams, JIRA, and SharePoint
Additional Responsibilities:
- Works under general supervision.
- Provides second level support of more complex issues to customers

**This role has an internal job title of Systems Engineer II**. Salary Range: $81K-$106K and potential to qualify for bonuses. The anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
