Join the Tapeout team and be a part of the Silicon Manufacturing chain at Intel. Tapeout is the first step in Silicon Manufacturing of all chips and technologies at Intel. Tapeout computational transforms are used to optimize chip fabrication and intersect Silicon Photolithograpy, Photomask Technology, Chip Design, and High-Performance Computing. This is a software support position with the primary responsibility of ensuring availability and viability of the Tapeout operations automation systems including system triage/debug, configuration, and testing. This position will be limited to responsibilities that can be conducted remotely. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to Triage support of the existing tapeout and new automation systems: Support of automation development engineers as they develop Linux and Windows software applications or enhancements across a wide range of use cases. Application qualification testing through test plan development and execution. System configuration and quality audits to enable product fabrication. Software application documentation. The ideal candidate must exhibit the following behavioral traits: Effectively communicating and collaborating with team members utilizing remote procedures. Willingness to work in a dynamic environment during primary site hours. Ability to analyze complex preexisting code bases

Qualifications:

QualificationsYou must possess the following minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.Minimum Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a production tapeout facility Familiarity with Linux CAD Automation systems Minimum 2 years support of system operations support including track record of successful triage/oncall rotations Candidate must possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a software engineering related discipline (Software, Computer, Computer Science, Data Science, Information Science). A Bachelor's or Master's degree in other engineering disciplines with an emphasis on Computer Science is also acceptable. Minimum of 1 year of experience with software development in at least 1 programming language (example: Ruby, Python, C/C++, Java) Preferred Qualifications:Minimum of 1 year of experience in the following: Practical expertise in the following languages/architectures: C++, Python, Qt, Django Database architecture and languages such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB Linux and Windows Operating systems and system functions Project management and planning or information/computer systems management Distributed computing and datacenter system architecture Circuit Physical Design automation applications that run in a Linux environment

Work Model for this Role

This role is available as a fully home-based and generally would require you to attend Intel sites only occasionally based on business need. This role may also be available as our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
